- My mother was "allowed to believe" I was adopted into a state other than Texas, but I was born in San Antonio, and adopted into a wonderful family in Corpus Christi, Texas.
- My adoption was managed by Reverend Joseph L. Brown, Rector of The Church of Reconciliation - Episcopal, in San Antonio, Texas.
- Dick Conolly connected my adoptive family with Rev. Brown.

I was told that my birthmother named me Christopher before my name was changed by my adoptive parents to Peter. I know my biological grandmother and grandfather were separated at the time. The story I was told was that my bio mother and father were very young (around 12 or 13) and my bio mom wanted to run away and live with my bio grandfather in Texas but he told her she had to stay in Missouri with my bio grandmother until I was born.
