A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Missouri Who Chose To Be Featured
1681. Sunflower_Chic81 : I am continueing the search for my mother’s birth parents. She was from St.Louis, Missouri. Birth is around October 11, 1961. Our mother passed in 2016, us girls have health problems and know nothing of our history on mother side. With use girls having different dads with no history of the health issues we face, must come from mothers side. It really could save a life to know history for the sake of Our children! Her adopted parents were Robert and Patricia Grant, ( Bob and Pat). My mother was 30 years old when she found out she was adopted and ALL the family gave the same answer, (can’t tell you the truth)!! All the elders have now passed and the truth went to the grave with them.. Our mother had Brown hair, hazel eyes,(green most days), 5’7" and always thin. We have found 2 different Birth Certificates for her, one from 1960 and one dated 1961? Our grandmother was a R.N. for a mental rehiblitation facility at time of adoption and my grandparents were around 36 to 40 when they adopted.. Please help if you may know something! Thanks in advance.. Patti Thornton-Brown
1683. Missyousweetie : Your name I gave you was Holly Lynn Brawn. That was your name before you were adopted. I gave you up for adoption in Concord, NC in 2016. You were born October 2, 2015 at CMC Northeast in NC.
1684. DorrisRussell : Dorris (not necessarily the name when she was born) was born Feb 8, 1941 in Shelby, MO, USA. She believes she was at an orphanage and isn’t sure which year she was adopted. Any information is appreciated.
1685. BearFuzzy : To the best of my knowledge I had an older Brother, William Davidson a Sister two years younger, Valerie and there was a set of twins that were five yesrs younger, name unknown. I believe our Mother was a Minnie Davidson, (Maiden Name??), born Jackson County, MO.. My last knowledge of Minnie was that she was in a Mental Ward in a Kansas City Hospital in 1968. In about 1948 we were all taken from a rural home (A share croppers shack) in Jackson County just outside Independence, MO.., This removal was necessitated because of the abusive acts of an alcoholic Step Father, Thomas Turner.. The removal was handled by a Ms. Lovelle the County Case Worker. We were all placed in a County Facility and then my Sister, Valerie, and I were placed in a Foster Home in Independence - The Andersons Mr. Anderson was a US Mail Carrier and they had a Son, Roy. I last visited the Andersons in 1968 at their Home in Independence Ms. Lovelle, the Case Worker, was very involved and even attempted to adopt my Sister Valerie and I, and, even stayed in touch for many years after we were adopted. Indications are that all of Minnie’s children were fathered by different individuals. At the time of my 1968 visit with the Andersons I also visited the County Birth Records and obtained a copy of Minnie Davidson,s
1686. JasmineAyers : I don’t know much about my brother. Except that as far as I know he was adopted before I was born. We shared the same father, brad Ayers, but had different mothers. He was around 2 or 3 when I was born so I would say he probably was born in 1997 or 1996.
1688. AnnaZahn27 : My Aunt Irma was forced to give her baby up for adoption when my Mom was only 13 and Aunt Irma was 17 (summer of her junior year in high school). My Mom is now 91 and would very much like to know that her sisters baby survived and lived a happy life. Also we have discovered that my mother carries the gene which makes people prone to colon and breast cancer. The genetic doctor indicated we should contact all our first cousins to make them aware of this genetic deficiency. Although we have never known my Aunt’s son and he would be 79. Mom would really like to have met him at least once before she dies. She has always been afraid to search for him because she was not sure that he would know if he was adopted. Aunt Irma died in 1972 and she really never got over being forced to give up her baby. She also could never have any other children. My Mom always suspected that Grandma had Aunt Irma sterilized. Aunt Irma was treated very unfairly at Maplewood High School and expelled her senior year because someone had found out she gave birth over the summer. My Mom still feels Grandma and Grandpa didn’t fight for Aunt Irma and Mom was only in grade school at the time. I know it’s a long shot but I thought I would give it a try on this website. He was adopted from the Salvation Army home for unwed mothers that is where they sent my Aunt Irma to give birth. They wouldn’t even let her hold him after he was born.
1690. HelenJordan : My mother LaVerne Joyce Gabris Miller spoke of having daughter that was adopted on the black market , her name was Loretta Kay before adoption. I have a picture of us together when we were small and she was 2-3 ?
1691. Nsupencheck20 : Looking for 1/2 sister with little to no information. Could have been born anywhere between 1947-1957. May have gone to High School or college in Kansas. Birth mother’s name was Monica.
1693. Klovett2 : Adoption was arranged by the obgyn Dr. Calvin. He told the birth mom of the family friends of his that were interested in adopting a baby. His friend was also a doctor and believed to live in Ladue, MO. It’s believed they were interested in adopting because they already had a daughter with Down syndrome and wanted another child, but didn’t want to risk complications. The baby was born at St. John’s Hospital in Washington, MO. It’s unknown if an adoption agency or attorney was involved in the arrangement.
1694. TammySoref : I’m looking for birth parents. My birth mom name is Mary price. My birth days name is jerry. I think. Not sure. I was put into foster care. I was adopted 1998. My biological name is Kammy Price.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
