I believe he was an officer in the Air Force and was stationed in Albuquerque New Mexico within that first year of adoption. His birth name is Cedric LaMont Abshire. His birth father’s name is Stephen Foster mine was Sarah Abshire, Now Sarah Riley. I was able to hold on to Cedric for 2 weeks (until Abt Oct 15, 1994). I met the family in person, I handed him over to the adoptive mother myself. I was told the family was forced to live in a hotel for at least a month because of legal issues on leaving Missouri with Cedric. I was told the adoptive mother stayed the adoptive father had to go back and report to duty. I was told they were planning on adopting more children after my son. They changed his name against my wishes. But told me they picked something that was close. I waited 18 years for contact, And then found out Missouri only allows it if the birth father and birth mother both requested information on the birth child. His birth father would never want to have anything to do with requesting reunification.
