2154. JT70 : Good day,
Well let’s see, firstly I’m in perfect health. I feel that’s important to state right off and I’m not looking to engage any biological family via personal meeting unless expressed to me by any such person. I respect any preference of personal privacy or anonymity.
About me:
I’m and adopted male of Irish-English and unknown non anglo race born in 1970, 30th day September give or take a couple days.
I was born in the county of Audrain, Mexico Missouri we think. My biologic mother was said to be from the East coast and sent to love with relative in Missouri prior to my birth.
my adoption placement was within a year, specially May 1971 and finalized in the state of Missouri. Attorney overseeing adoption was Eugene Weismann. adopted parents lived in St Louis.
Agency was "CHS" of Missouri.
Name prior to adoption was "Lance" however unknown if name given was via a biologic parent or staff.
Biological parents ages were 17 or 18 yrs.
Race was listed as Caucasian for both parents initially ?
However surprise, prior to placement for adoption as a "white baby boy" it was determined I was likely of an uncertain blended ethnicity. Neither maternal or paternal families could confirm non white heritages so I ’m unable to state by fact what the heritage is.
It is suspected paternal father is of a blended race, possibly going back into his earlier generations that may not have been known to that family or intently omitted.
Maternal mothers father or grandfather reportedly served in the military at the time and may have been from Pennsylvania or Maryland.
Why am I searching for you :
Until this year I had no plans of such in truth. I have a wonderful adoptive family and have lived a remarkable and full life. I feel only gratitude for the life I was given and toward the biological parents whom were so brave as to see to it I was given life at all. So I’m very grateful.
My hope is simply to gain an understanding of my diverse lineages, those origins and perhaps confirm some ancestral heritage while there may yet be living biological relatives. Recent DNA testing has suggested a mostly European ancestry of Irish, English, German. Little info about my other ethnic ancestry or direct lines offers clarifications.
Any information regarding familial surnames, birthplaces or relatives that could help confirm recent Ancestry reports would be appreciated.
Thank you,
