2233. Sabrina_re_nic : I am Sabrina ‚ I gave birth to a baby girl January 25th 2002 in Independence MO at MCI hospital (no longer exists and has been demolished). I was 17yrs old at the time of birth and my drs name was Dr Cavanaugh whom I believe is still in practice in independence MO. I went thru an adoption agency in Overland Park KS and chose the parents‚ and you would also have an older brother whom was adopted as well if I remember correctly. Might be wrong about that not sure. I also was able to visit you for the week before your adoption was final and took pictures with you at a department store‚ your parents (P & R) should have some of those that I sent to them. You were born in a huge ice storm and it was scary driving in it as a teen but I wanted every moment I could have with you. I was in an abusive relationship and as a 17yr old I just knew you deserved life and an amazing and full life that I could not provide at that age. I was able to help choose your name as well. I truly hope if you see this and are willing I would love to say hello over email‚ phone‚ in person‚ whatever YOU are comfortable with as your feelings are far more important to me and only you know what you can handle. If that makes sense. I would love to send pictures and names of your siblings if you would ever want to have contact with them as well. Please know I love you and making that decision was a life altering decision for us both‚ I only ever wanted you to have the life I knew I couldn’t give. I will forever be grateful to your parents for being the family that felt right to be your mother and father and pray your life has been everything you dreamed. Also I did receive photos and letters until you were around 5/6‚ I only have your hospital photo now in my wallet‚ I unfortunately lost them in a tragic house accident but remember so very much how you grew‚ your baby and toddler pictures are almost identical to myself‚ as if we were twins. I never have forgotten you. And how you were sitting in a white laundry basket in a white and red outfit‚ cheesy smile and swirly pigtails‚ it’s ingrained in my mind.
