A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Missouri Who Chose To Be Featured
3331. Courtney_SMS : My name is Courtney Sims and I am looking for my brother who was likely born around 1975 to a fifteen year old white mother and white father. I believe this could have happened at Saint John’s hospital or any hospital near Hazelwood‚ MO. I don’t know when or if he got adopted.
3332. Bhollis01 : I’m looking to reconnect with my sister‚ Samantha‚ whom we share a dad‚ Craig Hollis. I’m his oldest daughter‚ Bethany. We met once before our dad lost custody of you. We went to the mall with my mom and our dad and we shared a mint chocolate chip milkshake. You sent me drawings a few months after you went to live with your Aunt. I still have them. We talked on the phone briefly a few times. Please feel free to reach out‚ I’d love to be a big sister to you.
3333. Michelleb1978 : Our mother's name is Cassandra Bishop‚ you were born in Kansas City‚ MO at Truman Medical Center‚ you were missing some of your fingers. The social worker' s name was Karen Gaddis. After you were born you were taken from Kansas City and placed in a foster home in St Louis.
3338. MathgirlJK : The son of my grandmother (would be my uncle) did reach out to his mother via a letter through what I imagine was a search registry‚ but the details are unknown to me. At the time that she received this letter‚ she had very bad cataracts and had her mail read to her - which was done by her neighbor. Kathryn insisted the letter be thrown away‚ which the neighbor did - but after Kathryn's death‚ the neighbor told my mother about the letter. My mother told me some time later and asked if there were any ways of finding out about her half-brother.
3339. Rubyboo25 : St John’s mercy hospital in downtown STL
Birth mothers name is Ashley Marie Locke (Usrey is her married name)
Michael Richard Locke is maternal grandfather
3340. SarahCollins1993 : Looking for bio parents of my maternal Grandfather‚ and paternal Grandmother.
Grandmother:
Dian Louise Buschofsky Hoffman
02-11-1940
Born in Albany‚ NY. Was raised by adopted parents Louise Catherine Teller Nelson Buschofsky and Frederick Oscar Buschofsky. Dian lived in NY her whole life. Married Edward James Hoffman JR‚ they resided in Ravena. Had 9 children. Dian passed away 02-10-2006
She knew she was adopted‚ at one point in her life‚ her mother had asked her if she wanted bio info. She didn't. She knew that her biological mother lived "a few houses down the street". They lived on 2nd Ave per the 1940 census‚ when she was approx 1 month old. It was told through family that her adopted father was biological. I (granddaughter) used Ancestry DNA‚ and have not gotten any matches to bio fathers family‚ but have matches through adopted mother's line. Adopted mother never had any bio children.
Grandfather:
Robert Carl Griffith
01-29-1941
Born in St Louis‚ Mo to Laura Lee Hallows. First birth certificate (we have copies of) says Robert Carl Hallows. Second birth certificate is Robert Carl Bledsoe‚ listing a Robert Carl Bledsoe as father. Adopted by George and Nettie Griffith. They lived in Ashburn‚ Mo. He knew he was adopted. Bio Mom was niece of Nettie. Bio father of Bledsoe was dispelled per bio Mom‚ who stated George was his bio father. Ancestry DNA did not connect any of this line‚ however there have been multiple Bledsoe trees matched. So far no replies from the matches. Looking at the one photo we have of Bledsoe‚ comparing to George and my Grandfather‚ there is far more resemblance to George. Robert (Bob) Griffith married Ada Schindler. They lived in Frankford‚ Mo. He passed away April 27 2022.
3342. Marshaogle23 : Searching for anyone that knows Barbara Garrison‚ she had a daughter named Linda‚ and another that was put up for adoption named Lois. Lois was born in 1949 in Kansas City‚ Kansas‚ and put up for adoption in Kansas city‚ Missouri. Barbara lived in Paola‚ Kansas at one time.
3343. 183393 : I am looking for my daughter born July 25‚ 1958 at a Florence Crittendon Home in Kansas City Mo. Her birth name was Tannia Spring Bartruff and weighed 8 lbs. She will have green eyes and dark brown fine hair. Her eyes will be deep set.
3344. Kt420028 : My name is Kevin Tracy. I was born in North Kansas City hospital on April 29th 1977. I know absolutely nothing about my adopted parents. I found out at a young age. I am now 48I have 4 children of my own. I would like to know at least any information. I could about my family history and possibly meet my natural mother if she is willing.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
