1558. TravisL88 : I am trying to locate my children. When my ex wife and I had them. We were young and smart. Her and I ended up getting a divorce. Before we were able to get in front of a judge for custody. She skipped town. When I finally caught up with her. She had given my children up for adoption. I went to the state to try and get them, but they told me it was to late. A friend recently told me of your site. I’ve been hopeless until now. Please Help
1560. AmyCuzisaid76 : The adoptee I’m seeking is my 1st cousin. His mother was my maternal aunt, Caryl Ann Ledbetter. She passed away in 2006, so a lot of details about the birth are lost to my family. There’s only so much my mom remembers.
Birth was at St. Louis County Hospital in St. Louis, MO. The adoption was a closed adoption. My mom thinks the state was the "agency" so we don’t know if he was immediately placed in a forever family or bounced around in Foster Care. Aunt Caryl was only 17 at this time. The father’s name was possibly Carl last name unknown/not remembered.
Giving him up was The Regret of Aunt Caryl’s life.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
