A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Missouri Who Chose To Be Featured
1696. Cassyb : I am looking on behalf of a friend who was born in Butler county, Missouri in March of 1992. She was adopted immediately after being born but knows nothing about her biological family. She believes her biological mother sent her letters as a child but has been unable to locate or read them. She believes her biological mother had just graduated high school in 1992 and that her first name may begin with the letter ’L’.
1698. AnnaZahn27 : My Aunt Irma was forced to give her baby up for adoption when my Mom was only 13 and Aunt Irma was 17 (summer of her junior year in high school). My Mom is now 91 and would very much like to know that her sisters baby survived and lived a happy life. Also we have discovered that my mother carries the gene which makes people prone to colon and breast cancer. The genetic doctor indicated we should contact all our first cousins to make them aware of this genetic deficiency. Although we have never known my Aunt’s son and he would be 79. Mom would really like to have met him at least once before she dies. She has always been afraid to search for him because she was not sure that he would know if he was adopted. Aunt Irma died in 1972 and she really never got over being forced to give up her baby. She also could never have any other children. My Mom always suspected that Grandma had Aunt Irma sterilized. Aunt Irma was treated very unfairly at Maplewood High School and expelled her senior year because someone had found out she gave birth over the summer. My Mom still feels Grandma and Grandpa didn’t fight for Aunt Irma and Mom was only in grade school at the time. I know it’s a long shot but I thought I would give it a try on this website. He was adopted from the Salvation Army home for unwed mothers that is where they sent my Aunt Irma to give birth. They wouldn’t even let her hold him after he was born.
1700. HelenJordan : My mother LaVerne Joyce Gabris Miller spoke of having daughter that was adopted on the black market , her name was Loretta Kay before adoption. I have a picture of us together when we were small and she was 2-3 ?
1701. Nsupencheck20 : Looking for 1/2 sister with little to no information. Could have been born anywhere between 1947-1957. May have gone to High School or college in Kansas. Birth mother’s name was Monica.
1703. Klovett2 : Adoption was arranged by the obgyn Dr. Calvin. He told the birth mom of the family friends of his that were interested in adopting a baby. His friend was also a doctor and believed to live in Ladue, MO. It’s believed they were interested in adopting because they already had a daughter with Down syndrome and wanted another child, but didn’t want to risk complications. The baby was born at St. John’s Hospital in Washington, MO. It’s unknown if an adoption agency or attorney was involved in the arrangement.
1704. TammySoref : I’m looking for birth parents. My birth mom name is Mary price. My birth days name is jerry. I think. Not sure. I was put into foster care. I was adopted 1998. My biological name is Kammy Price.
1706. ErinGraham : I was born in 1981 and named Brooke ann Baldwin- birth mother was 16 and her name was Michelle Ann Baldwin- Michelle has a twin sister and was born in Georgia.
1707. Jeffbashor : I WAS BORN APRIL 12, 1970 IN LAMAR MISSOURI. MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE LISTS MY NAME AS "BABY AMENDE". THE PEOPLE WHO ADOPTED ME ARE NAMED JOE AND SHELBY BASHOR. THE ADOPTION WAS SHORTLY AFTER BIRTH AND WAS HANDLED THROUGH THE NEWTON COUNTY COURTS IN NEOSHO MISSOURI.
1708. DreamerJen : I gave up a beautiful little girl at her birth and I have regretted it ever since. I wrote letters and Catholic Charities said they put them in her file‚ but I don't know if she ever saw them. I would love to meet her‚ not to be her mother‚ she has one of those. I just want to be her friend. And my children I had since then would love to meet her too.
1709. Jimirvin123 : Looking for my Grandmas birth parents. Betty Jean Buehler was born 7/14/1925. she was adopted by Harry A Buehler and Mildred Leona Buehler (Gehrs)
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
