408. Maryjoyce1956 : My birth-mother was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She died of alcohol poisoning in 1964. I was born in St. Louis, Nov. 14, 1956. Catholic Charities’ file on me says she and my birth father had a ’casual relationship.’ I don’t know that he knew about me. Significant details about birth father is that he is/was Sicilian, employed as a ’painter-decorator’ and about 27 years old at my birth. DNA testing is showing almost 100% of my Sicilian DNA cousins (3rd cousins being the closest so far) are from the Detroit area. ??? Well, at that time, my birth mother’s mother was living with her 3rd husband in Flint, Michigan. He would also have had Native American blood.
410. Maryjoyce1956 : Looking for birth father who might be from Missouri, Michigan or California. He would be Italian/Sicilian, Native American and a few other ethnicities. He would have been employed as a painter-decorator in 1956 and was supposedly single. He would now be in his late 80’s.
411. RBurns63077 : Hi I am Robin looking for my sister who was born when i was around 2 years old my grandma kinda told my mom she had to give her up. She was born at what was them called Lutherans now know as South point in St. Louis Missouri. They went threw adoption place there in the hospital. Lutherans adoption agency. I have tried to leave info there but they say they can’t talk to me. Our moms name at the time was Cecelia Bryant she was i think about 18. My mom is sick so is kinda unable to recall. A lot of info she says bday could be 77 hope I can find something out
412. Suvontoo : Looking for birth father that would have been in Gravois Mills area of the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri the summer and fall of 1963. Birth mother was Betty Marie Wickham and she worked at the Sportsman’s Inn cafe and tavern.
413. Suvontoo : Looking for birth father or anyone related to him. Name unknown. He either lived or was staying in the Gravois Mills area of the Lake of the Ozarks in the summer and or fall of 1963. Birth mother was Betty Wickham who worked at the cafe / tavern called the Sportsman’s Inn.
416. Looking4oursisters : **Birth month and daus are giesses**I have a half sister and a sister who is biologically from both of my parents. Both were adopted at birth. between 1972 and 1976 I was born in 1974. My bio father also jas 4other son’s 2 each from 2 marriages. Missionaries may have been the adopting parents of one possibly both. NO OBLIGATION OR INTERFERENCE INTENDED. JUST OBSESSED WITH KNOWING ANSWERS. MOM PASSED IN 2010. THANKS
417. Alexishembd : I was born Dorothy Indian McCabe, adopted and recently discovered that my biological mother had a son 14 months after me. He was born in Kansas City on January 4, 1982 he was named Stephen McCabe. The records don’t specify what state which makes this harder, and I would assume his name has changed like mine did. I was born in IL and given up immediately, I presume that he was as well, she suffered from mental illness and frequented numerous institutions in 8 states. She was found dead in April of 1982 so I can’t get any information from her, and also estranged from her family (which I have met) for quite sometime before us.
419. Stlouis65 : BM was from Michigan but due to recent death of husband (iron worker), she moved with her multiple children to St. Louis. Per Catholic Services, BM did not know BF. Child, my adoptive brother, was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Kirkwood, MO. (now St Claire’s in Fenton, MO). My brother desperately needs to connect and belong.
420. BYork_Woods : I am searching for my birth mother and/or birth father‚ any other biological relatives. I was born April 25‚ 1974 and adopted from Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. I am told that my mother had black hair‚ blue eyes‚ 5’5 125 lbs. I am told that my birth father has a history of seizures as a result of a childhood accident. I have been advised that as a result of a childhood injury my mother had some learning difficulties (low IQ). I am of the understanding that my parents were not married and I am told they were in their early 30s. I have attached a photo of myself in the hope this may also help me to locate my mother or other family members.
UPDATE: I did DNA testing through Ancestry and have learned that my Paternal Grandpa was Jessie Woods born March 12‚ 1912. While this family has been very accepting of me through some family dynamics this family has not seen Jessie or his kids since the late 1950s and therefore do not remember the names of his kids‚ but what they do recall about his son matches my non-identifying info on my father as well as the DNA match from other family members.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
