2342. Lordkm : I am looking for any other biological children of my father. He was in the Navy from 1968 through retirement. I know he had one child with a nurse, possibly also in the service who was given up for adoption. From Iowa, but could have been stationed anywhere with a Navy base.
2343. ElizCahoon : , I am searching for my father’s biological mother and/or father. My father was adopted by Sydney E. Cahoon and Besse E. Ramsey Cahoon, of Wood River, Illinois, in 1934. My dad’s name on the Standard Certificate of Live Birth, Missouri Division of Health is John Ramsey Cahoon, date of birth September 19, 1934. Place of Birth city is listed, St. Louis. Line 23 of the certificate "I hereby certify that I attended the birth of this child who was born alive at the hour of 10:15A on the date above stated..." "....information given was furnished by Mr. & Mr. Cahoon as Parents" Attendant’s own signature: O.C. Gass, M.D. (typed only, no signature), then again, M.D., no date signed. Address City Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
This is the only information I have. My father passed away June 22, 1988. His adoptive parents are also deceased 1969 and 1991. My dad’s brother, biological son to Sidney and Besse Cahoon, also deceased 2019.
That’s all the information I have that is solid. My grandmother always told the story of how she and my grandfather were unprepared when "Jack" arrived. They had to quickly borrow diapers from friends and since they did not have a crib, he slept in a pulled out dresser drawer. He was dropped off at their home in the late evening - stores were closed for the day. I always thought this was odd - how are you not prepared for an infant?
My grandmother never spoke of dad’s adoption. I never asked my dad but my mom said that after he told her one time he never spoke of it again. My uncle refused to talk of dad’s adoption, said for me to "let it go!" and he had no information.
2346. KatherenYoung : Hello,
My name is Katheren Young. I am in search of any information on Carol Sue Young (which is her adopted name). She was my mother who unfortunatly passed away when I was 4 years old. So I never got to learn a lot about her. The gentleman who adopted her also adopted my brother and I when she passed. I was wondering if there might be any way to learn who her true parents are? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
2347. Baileyreich : his birthday may not be in january it might also be in december, he has 2 sister and 1 other brother. we live in kansas city missouri and his moms name is alayna
2349. Alonetogether1191 : Hi, Brian. This may all be a huge hoax/prank, but I’ve been in search of you since you were taken from me from a "home for unwed mothers" in Missouri, Bethesda Memorial, to be more exact. I have your photo, and you were a beautiful, newborn child. I’ve cherished that little photo for over 55 years. You have a half-brother, who is 45 years old, and a half-sister who is 44. They both, of course, know about you, and share my most fervent prayer that someday, before I "move on" we could at least be united and introduced to one another, and to discover one another. With all my love, your Birth Mom
2350. Cherylann52 : Catholic Charities involved in adoption. Birth was actually in St. Charles MO at St. Joseph’s hospital on August 5, 1985, but records appear to have been changed. No knowledge of where or when adoption took place.
2351. TB1968 : Looking for bio parents, or siblings. I know of a half brother that was born in 1966. Just wanting family and medical histories, not to upset any lives or rock the boat. I just want to know.
2352. KMA1026 : I am trying to track down my Dad’s birth parents. He was born in St. Louis in 1967. Unfortunately he passed away tragically in 2001. I am wanting to start a family soon and wanting to find any information about his birth parents especially in regards to any health issues.
2355. GerriGlaserBeys : My birthname I think was Kimberly McCoy possibly but that’s all I remember‚ but apparently I had a twin sister who passed shortly after birth.
I also was a twin but my twin passed away shortly after we were born at about 10 days old.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
