I have been in touch with that organization, but because of the close adoption. I have a de -identified hand written letter from my biological parent stating she want me to have opportunity to be raise by a loving caring parents and that at the age of 19 she wasn’t able to do that and didn’t think it was the responsibility of her parents to raise her baby. Also the letter was in responds to a news paper article that said that Negro babies are hard to adopt and that she hope I would not have to experience that.

I was adopted in 2-1962 to James and Carole Packer Campbell from Turpin, Oklahoma and given the name Janie Lynn Campbell.The doctor signing the birth certificate was Leonard Wall although I have been informed the babies were all delivered by residents from St. Luke hospital.
