2655. Caraveorm : Looking for my half-sibling that was adopted at birth. My mother‚ Sharon (Shari) Kay Carnes/Beatty/Caraveo (has went by all 3 last names) who has since passed gave birth unwed- possibly to a mixed race baby due to my maternal grandfather being racist.stated it was another girl adopted through the Latter Day Saint adoption agency (maybe in TX‚ KS‚ or MO). But my biological dad who was married to my mother for 20 years- insists it was a boy. My older sister and I remember her crying about a sim Jeffrey with a unique spelling. She also briefly mentioned she held him only briefly. I do not have contact with my maternal grandparents. My grandfather passed away . My sisters and I reconnected with our maternal aunt but she does not have any further information. The child would have been born between 1978-1982. Maternal lineage is Beatty‚ Carnes‚ Whipple‚ Duncan. John Beatty is my uncle still living but has yet to respond to social media messages. Mary Elizabeth Duncan is my grandmother and I do not have contact info as she is estranged from her family and I was adopted after my mother passed away. Both reside in California. The Whipple family is from Texas. Beatty family from California. My mother said live in Kansas at some point during this time frame but did return home to Missouri where the Carnes lineage originated before moving to Oklahoma for 10+ years.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
