I am unsure of hospital but adoptive parents were contacted directly from a Dr. Patterson who practiced in Joplin, MO. Agency was Catholic Charities of St. Joseph-Kansas City, MO.
318. KaiMM : I am searching for possible information on my mother who was adopted in 1942 through an orphanage in Kansas City, Missouri. The best information I have is that she was adopted in her 9th or 10th month from the orphanage near or attached to St. Luke’s Hospital.

Birth announcement in newspaper within 2 weeks of birth noted baby girl born to Jeanne M. And Ralph E. Parker‚ AKA Michael Mahoney.
326. Nannymo2 : Searching for sibling. My mother Mary Frances Frazier Foreman gave birth to a boy in St. Louis, Mo who was given up for adoption through a private agency. She was from Texas. Adoption Agency unknown. Her sister, Mildred (Mickey) Frazier also gave birth about the same time to a boy who was adopted in a private adoption I think.

She was hospitalized for several months at Methodist hospital in St. Louis for Lobar Pneumonia and was discharged to her adoptive parents, WG and Patricia Beck. The adoption agency had Child and Family Services in the name. Her adoptive name is Diana Sue Beck and I am helping her search for her birth mother.
