260. Br1neymarl1n : I was born at The Willows Maternity Home in Kansas City, Mo.
My birth mother gave her name as: Caroline Coates but I believe Caroline was her middle name and that’s what makes my search so difficult.
She gave me the birth name: Gloria
My name was changed by my adopted parents to: Sharon
I was adopted at 3 weeks old.
I know absolutely nothing more than my birth mother was of Welsh descent.
Would like to know my father’s name also if my mother can be found.
I only want medical information which is critical as I don’t want to interfere in their lives and at my age (72) not sure either are alive.
Can’t keep saying their names are: I don’t know her’s and I don’t know his either.
261. NotaPitts : My name is Angela and my son’s name at the time of birth til he was 3 years old was Billy Wayne Pitts III or Billy Wayne Benton. Was let to believe he grew up in Cassville, MO or Galena, MO. He will be 19 next month unless they changed his birthdate????
264. Lauraleekoch : Parents were Dixie Howland and Ken Givan. She was born in the Florence Crittantin Home for unwed mothers in Kansas City MO next to St. Luke’s Hospital. My mother, Dixie, named her Tonya but her adoptive parents probably changed her name. The adoptive parents got her within a day or few from when she was born. Her adoptive family might have been from St. Louis MO.
268. Lorinicolaisen : David Randolph black and supposedly jenie black born I guess in Kansas City Mo in Independence hospital in 1975 and supposedly my name was Laurie genie black
269. DBStewart : Biological Father: Daniel B. Stewart
Biological Mother: Tammie L. Heckenkamp
St. Louis (or County) Hospital
Child’s first name is Eric, adoptive mother’s name is Beth from California.
270. Esthersteele : I was very young when I had my daughter. She was born April 9, 1973 at Booth memorial hospital (unwed mothers home) in St. Louis, Mo. I have tried to find her but all I ever heard back was that the records are sealed and she has to be the one who looks for me. The hospital let me give her name but I am sure her parents changed her named. I gave her the name of Tracy Gail Steele. When they took me to a foster home I heard the lady whom I believe her name was Mrs Travis said she cried all the way to Rolle ,Mo. Maybe she was raised there, I don’t know. I know that Booth was a Salvation Army home. I can’t remember people’s names. I was 12 when I conceived her and 13 when she was born. Her father was 22. I was only allowed to look her her through a window and they would not allow me to touch her. I thought that I would get to keep her, but I was to young they told me . I was made ward court of the state of Mo. I want something out there should she ever try to find me. She may never know that she is adopted. I wish I just knew that she’s ok, and that she had a happy life or even if she is alive. She looked like a beautiful healthy baby girl. She had really dark hair. She now has 2 brothers and a sister. She has 3 nieces and 4 nephews. I always wonder if I have more grandchildren. I don’t know if I will ever meet her but I would love to see her if only from a distance.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
