We have the same mother Vera Dorsey Sokolaski but his father was William Sokolaski. I was born April 25, 1952. Vera had a son with Bill Sokolaski in September of 1953 but she named him William Sheridan because Bill (dad) was married. She then had another son with a Bill Sokolaski about 2 to 3 years later so 1955 or 1956. I do not know month he was born. She gave him up through St Anthony’s baby home in Kansas City, Mo
and she went by the name then as Vera Henry.
2000. MiraLillard : A possible name could be Reed or Reid Copeland. He would have been born in 1963 at the Florence Crittenton Home in Kansas City, MO. We believe that my grandma possibly stayed with Gwen Van Derbur Mitchell during her stay at the home. However, we have tried to contact to her but she has dementia and cannot recall much.
2001. ButterflyFairy82 : Jeremiah I do love you and have tried getting a hold of the lawyer Travis Holthouse, to get a hold of the adoption family, just to get a yearly picture that was promised. I haven’t gotten any. All I have is what his wife took in the hospital, and the day I signed my rights over.
2003. ChelseyK : I am looking for my aunt. My grandmother, Sharon Louise McGee, delivered a baby girl at a home for unwed mothers in Kansas City, Missouri on October 10, 1950. We don’t know the name of the place she delivered. She named the baby Christina Marie, but we don’t have any information on the birth father, so I don’t know the last name or if it was changed after adoption. I know the baby had dark hair and eyes, and weighed 9 lbs. 2 oz.
2005. Jennari73 : My mom gave birth to a son. When I was 10 or so she said he was looking for her and might come to our house.
I believe at time of birth she was at an orphanage, in Farmington Mo.

2006. Stacia38 : I am looking for a bi-racial female who was born on 12/23/1986 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri. The bio-mother’s name is Amy Hendricks and the bio-father’s name is Gregory Michione Wilson. It is believed that this female was adopted by a white couple who may have lived in the Kansas City and/or Lee’s Summit, Missouri area and was friends with a bi-racial couple named Charles and Linda Brown.

2008. Kersey-Broughton : I was born in Tampa Florida 1990, adopted in missouri 1997. Mothers name I have been told is Michele Gurel/Gurrel(how it sounded when told) and last name of Kersey was said. I possibly have my older brother and sisters birth names of Kimberly and Matt/Matthew. They were both adopted in saint louis area

Mother and father are white. Mother’s maiden name was Spencer, father’s last name is Catt. Parents were unmarried.
Adoption was through Missouri Baptist Children’s Home Society in Bridgeton, Missouri.
