A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within North Carolina Who Chose To Be Featured
1456. Jmckinney : My daughter was born in Rock Island County IL and placed in Foster care by her Mother within the first 2 years. I was aware of her birth but was not named on the birth certificate nor was I acknowledged by her mother, Debbie Ruark. I was contacted by a social worker from North Carolina and asked to take a paternity test. Tanisha was about 9 at that time and had been in a foster home for over a year with her older half brother Trevor. My understanding was that she was happy and doing very well. Her mother’s rights were being terminated and the foster parents wanted to adopt her. I signed over my rights feeling that it was best for Tanisha. I was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I had asked if my information could be made available to her should she ever want it. I am not sure if that happened. I would love to meet her.
1459. Earpangel : I’m looking for my half brother. Mom’s first born child. He was born at Watauga Medical Center in Boone North Carolina. Her parents said they were going to town. They took her to the court house and handed him over to Albert and Joanna Waters. His birthday is December 12 1957. We had contact with his brother. He said he was in the service in Kansas. Came home for a little while and then just vanished 30 years ago. Would love to know if he’s alright before mom passes. They took her second born also. He found us 25 years ago. So Larry has two full blooded brothers and 3 half siblings. Bio mom name is Iris Nellie Eggers her birthday is June 18 1943.
1460. ComlyWhite2019 : My father was taken away and adopted back in 1942. For many years he knew very little about his biological family. He knew his father’s last name was White and he was taken away from his mother, because his biological father was never home or supporting him and his siblings.
In the late 90’s his biological niece found him and showed us some of the family including her father which was adopted as well. As well as his mother Nellie E. Poush White, his half siblings, Beverly, Bill, and Jerry and his biological father Denver Thomas White.
When I had the opportunity to talk to Denver, I asked him how many aunts and uncles I have. His answer was he was a truck driver that drove from coast o coast and he had a warm bed and cuddle buddy at every stop.
So I am looking for my biological family that are the children or grandchildren of Denver Thomas White.
If that names sounds like someone you know please, please contact me!
1461. BornRoberts : I am looking for my birth mother and father and relatives. I was born and identical twin and we were both put up for adoption and went with the Mondics family in February of 1948. I was born in New Hanover, Wilmington, Nc.My parents were both from that area. They also lived in Pender, Nc. Our names at birth were Chuck and Larry Roberts. Margaret Braxton attended school in New Hanover, Nc They might have known who the parents were that adopted us! Margaret Braxton and Benjamin Mondics adopted us. We stayed with my Nana Bessie n David Hardwick Grandpa until we went to be with Margaret and Benjamin Mondics. My parents that adopted us might have know the Robert’s Family from Wilmington and around the area. Please help us find our missing relatives!
1462. RWillis : From what I was told I was adopted from a young lady that was not able to take care of me at the time. My mother (woman that raised me) use to help people of need and take them into her home and I was left in the care of mother (woman that raised) me. We lived in Charlotte, NC , in Mecklenburg County on the the west side of Charlotte in the Revolution Park area. I think I was born in Charlotte Memorial Hospital (Carolinas Medical Center).
1463. MissLashale46 : My adopted friend was born at Beaufort County Hospital in Washington NC, she was adopted by a lady named Lucy Moore. Her birth mother was named Barbara Green or Greene. And she believes she has more siblings
1464. DMFS4874 : I have been searching as long as I can remember for my birth parents. It’s love to bring a child into the world and give them away‚ trusting someone whom you’ve never met to love them for the rest of their lives. I’d love to meet the people who lived me enough to do that. I’d love to meet anyone I’m blood related to. I have an adopted brother as well but he has passed and I miss the connection of a sibling.
I was adopted through the Children’s Home Society of NC‚ although I’m unsure of the actual adoption date‚ my amended birth certificate says September 1975.
1466. Jmmsdustin : I am searching for my first cousin. She is the daughter of my aunt. She would have been born in the Indiana/Illinois/Ohio or Tennessee area in April/May 1959. My aunt was 18 when she gave her up at birth. She may have stayed with a family tied to the Methodist Church. Her family would really like to connect with this child. My aunts name is Pegge Lakins and the father’s name is David Culp. Please contact me if you can help provide clues or have any information that may help. I have included a picture of her mom/my aunt.
1467. Wandamp8 : I was adopted in either NC, SC or Georgia. My mother signed over her rights to me. She was of Indian Descent. I am looking for any family members that are still surviving.
1469. Sherrie1946 : Kim was born in Charlotte, NC and placed for adoption through Social Services in April 1973 in Wilkes County NC Her birth mother lives in Wilkes County but we don’t know who she is. We do know she is from W. Virginia and from a large family
1470. RMorris50 : I know that my birth parents named me Robert Lee Hunsucker. My father was William Clayton Hunsucker and mother was Helen Williams. After being adopted by Paul A. Morris and Eula Wooten my name was changed to Robert Paul Morris. When I entered the US Army they forced me to enter with the last name of Hunsucker bc of my birth certificate but was able to provide adoption papers and my enlisted name was changed to Morris, as a result I was never awarded the Purple Heart for the Vietnam war. I would really like to know when I was legally adopted and if I am correct in regards to my parents names. I had one living brother, Don Sherwood Hunsucker that had the same parents and another who died at age 9days old.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
