JohnLDonovan : Looking for information on Walenty Nowak, born Poland, 1859 immigrated to US 1891, lived in Chicago, Il and moved to Holyoke, Mass in 1900 and worked for Lyman Mills until 1927 when they liquidated. He died in Holyoke 27 May 1928. His wife was Maryanna Nowak (Gancarz) also born in Poland abount 1867, she lived in Lawrence, Mass., until Walenty died and she moved to Holyoke, Mass until her death on 1 May 1944. Any information would be appreciated.

1626. Sydnithepoet : Sister was born in NC but my mother moved them to GA where she gave her up roughly two years before I was born (2002). She was about four leaving her birth year around 1992-1996. Her birth name was Secret, but was possibly changed. There’s also a brother born Jaquan now possibly named Jason or something similar who was younger than the sister.

My adoptive parents told me I was born near the NC coast and my birth was very young and her parents wouldn’t let her keep her baby and an older women had been caring for me. Not sure if I was in an orphanage or not. Based on DNA‚ I believe my paternal side is near Robeson County and my 2nd and 3rd cousin matches come from HUGE families. Locklears‚ Oxendine‚ Dunn‚ Dial are some surnames. Some have responded to requests but were unable to help unless it was guesses.

I gave birth at the Presbyterian University Hospital. The adoption agency was located in Anson County city of Wadesboro. The agent name was Mrs. Brown. It was a closed adoption at the time I believe. My sin was adopted 10 days after birth. That is all the information that I know.
