2207. TravisSupton : No agency involved‚ private closed adoption within the Gastonia area. My birth mother was Mary Stepp‚ who I met before she passed. Unsure of birth father‚ but know only what I was told
2209. Dfisher6187 : I am looking for my cousin he was born Shawn Michael Moore. He was adopted out when he was maybe 5 or younger. His mother’s name is Shona Lynn. I have been told a bunch of stories as to his adoption location but I do know he was from North Carolina. His name was also changed after adoption. He has siblings and lots of family that loves him and misses him very much.
2210. QuintonFlowers : He was born at Wayne memorial hospital in Goldsboro NC. His name at birth was Isaiah Flowers. His birth mothers name is Sandra Maria Flowers. His mother’s maiden name is Snead. As of 6/24/22 both parents live in Myrtle Beach SC.
2211. NC1942 : Looking for a Nicholas McCoy Davenport from Washington North Carolina who was born to Hassel Junious Harris and Dorthy Davenport. Nicholas was born in 1939 and their other child‚ me‚ was born in 1942. I was out up for adoption immediately.
2213. Dymill2 : This is a different situation. My parents were foster parents and we were trying to adopt a child that my mother walked out of the hospital with at 3 days old and we had her until she was three years old. She was biracial and we were a white family. Social Services told us when she was almost 2 that she needed to be adopted in a black family although they knew we wanted to adopt her. My parents fought Social Services for quite sometime for her. We finally had a chance so we thought to go before a judge and explain why we would be the best adoptive family. The day of court we were waiting to go in a see the judge and the social workers came and snatched her right out of my mothers arms and ran with her. That was the last time we saw her. We were the only family she knew since she was three days old. I’ve always wanted to find her and explain to her the story of us trying to keep her. It was devastating to us I can’t imagine how horrible it was for her. The last I remember when they snatched her she turned around and called out “mommy” and she was gone out of sight. I only know the name we gave her when she was three years old but do remember her birthday. I have pictures still of her as a three year old but that’s all I have.
2216. Aliceboone : Looking for my sister Unice Michelle Oates born Jan 8 1975 in Clinton (Sampson County) North Carolina. Our mother was Mary Louise Boone born in 1954. We were placed in the foster care system as children & were together initially but later were separated in the system. Would like to find "Michelle" as I have not seen her since we were children. I am uncertain if she was ever adopted at all‚ but since she was younger she might have been. Her birth certificate indicated her father was Willie Albert Oates. We had another sibling born after us who was also probably adopted‚ Daniel Boone.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
