A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within North Carolina Who Chose To Be Featured
526. Alexis31 : I am searching for my 16 year old sister Krysta. She was born October 20,2001 at Alamance Regional Medical Center to Amanda Lancaster. Her name is Krysta Nicole Lowe although her last name may have changed since adoption. She was with her biological father at one point and so was I until we were split up when she was around the age of 5 or 6. She stayed with him and I left. I recently was reconnceted with my bilogical mother who informed me that Krysta had left her fathers at some point and has supposedly been adopted into a loving family in the Chareleston South Carolina area.
527. Elizabeth1207 : Hi, I am looking for my sister who was born in County Cavan, Ireland in August 1957. My mums name is Lucy Reilly who was also from County Cavan, Ireland.
On my sisters original birth certificate her name was Mary Brigid. I believe that she was adopted by an american couple and taken to America, but I don’t know how true this is because of the secrecy that surrounded adoptions in Ireland in the 1950’s.
528. Jsshenderson16 : I am a Caucasian female born on 11/16/73 and my birth parents were about 19 and 21 years of age and still in college at that time. They put me up for adoption through the Children’s Home Society of Greensboro, NC (Guildford County) and Elizabeth Martin was the social worker assigned to my case. I was adopted on 12/21/73 by a couple from Gastonia, NC. I believe I was born in either Guilford or Cabarrus County. I really truly desire to meet my birth parents.
530. LAMiller59 : I am searching on behalf of my newly discovered cousin through a DNA match. I am also adopted but have long ago found my biological family so I know, understand, and feel deeply what my cousin is going through in wanting to find his birth parents.
His name is Matthew Jones. He was told his birth mother’s name was Maureen Jo Miller. He was born in Winston Salem, West Virginia in 1974, Sept. He also believes his parents were employed as educators. He is now 53 years old. Thank you for reading.
533. Brenda447 : Baby boy born on or about 4-19-1944. Have been told birth state was North Carolina in Rocky Mount. Was baptized however in Long Beach, CA. Adoptive parents names were Grover and Mary Turner. Have been told the mother died at birth. But that may not be true. Baptized as Victor Cleveland Turner. Was adopted again in 1954 by Jim and Mamie Spruill. Jim was the brother of Mary Turner. All of the above mentioned have passed away. I am the oldest daughter of Victor looking for more answers. Victor looked his whole life. I am looking to finish the search for him.
534. Laurahernandez : I’m unsure of the State that you where adopted from, your mother Joyce Ludwig was from Wisconsin and Minnesota, but went away for the birth.
You might have been placed thru Catholic Charities Adoption Services.
and your mother of Joyce Ludwing and father Lorne Johnson.
Also not sure what year you where born, but my best guess is the end of 1968 or early 1969, as your mother was back in MN in the mid to late 1969.
I am your sister and I was born July 1965, and we share the same father. I have had by DNA tested thru 23andme.
535. Jrsumner : I am looking for my husband’s birth parents. He was born March 11, 1964 in Charlotte NC. The only info we have from the adoption agency was that his parents were teenagers. We believe his father was on his high school football team and that he wanted to be a lawyer.
537. LostBoy1963 : 54 year old, Single White Male born in Eastern North Carolina on or around September 23, 1963 and adopted January 7, 1964 in Eastern North Carolina or the Triad Area seeking siblings or birth parents if they are also searching/willing to meet. I have no specific reasons for searching, just curious, I would like to know where/who I came from and if there are any genetic markers I should know about. Other than that, it might be fun to know if I have siblings with the same DNA.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
