A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within North Carolina Who Chose To Be Featured
2866. JLH24 : Searching for birth mother or father: Mother gave birth to me February 24‚1969 and I think it was in or near Richmond‚ VA because my birth certificate indicates that town and state. I believe she was originally a North Carolina resident but don't know this to be a fact. I was adopted from the Children's Home Society of North Carolina in Greensboro‚ NC. It is believed that she was a 21 year-old college senior at the time of my birth. Basic physical traits I have of her are that at the time‚ she was approximately 5 ft. 3 in. tall‚ with relatively fair skin‚ wavey brown hair and hazel eyes. She also had 3 sisters similar in height with either brown‚ blond or red hair. Her mother was also about the same height. I too am only 5 ft. 0 in. tall and I have light brown hair with some wave to it. My birth mother's family was Episcopalean and her family's ancestry included England‚ Ireland and France.
I know nothing about birth father except that it was thought that he was a caucasian college student at the time of my birth.
I was adopted by a couple in North Carolina.

2879. DariusRoss12 : Looking for my birth mother. Possibly NC resident at the time of my birth which was 6 am on 11/21/1998. My adopted parents took me to SC where I was raised. They are an African American couple who raised me.
2880. CindiWoodyEmerson : I am searching for my birth mother. My birth certificate was issued in the state of NC‚ listing my date of birth as January 26th 1958. I was adopted through NC Social Services (I think). My birth certificate‚ when changed‚ lists my birth city as Charlotte‚ but my adoptive mother remembers something about my coming there from Greensboro. I am 5'8"‚ Caucasian female. I believe my mother was single and my father was married with children. This could be wrong.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
