2791. Line28pc : The baby girl was probably born in and adopted in the Raleigh area in March of 1969. Her adopted family lived in Raleigh and their last name was Dail.
I am trying to find the baby girl’s mother on behalf of her biological grandchildren. They would love to get to know their mother’s side of the family!
The baby girl’s father’s name was Neil Allen Byrd & he also lived in Raleigh. He and the birth mother supposedly worked at Gay & Taylor Insurance firm.
2795. Slothfan25 : My sister Arlene Bumgardner passed away 10 years. Going through family photos I found a picture of me and a baby boy and I was told it was Arlene’s son she gave up for adoption. His name was David and she was not married at the time Bumgardner is our maiden name. I don’t know if the baby was adopted in NC or Chicago‚ where she was born and raised. I’m not 100% sure of the year it’s just a guess. I’m just curious what became of him.
2796. JoyDeBoe : The information I have is that my birth mother was 16 when she had me. I think my birth father was a year or two older‚ now sure. I believe they lived in Shelby‚ NC because my foster home was there and they were not allowed to take me out in public in case my biological family ran into us as it was a closed adoption. I know the name my birth mother gave me‚ it is not the name my adoptive parents gave me.
2797. Mrslyons : ISO Maternal Uncle – Born around April 1986 in Reidsville or Eden‚ NC
My mother’s brother was born around April 1986 in or near Reidsville/Eden‚ North Carolina‚ and was placed for adoption at birth. The birth may have taken place at a local hospital in Rockingham County. We believe it was a closed adoption.
We’ve both taken DNA tests on Ancestry and 23andMe‚ but haven’t found close matches yet.
If this sounds familiar or you were adopted around that time and location‚ please reach out. We’re searching with love and respect.
2799. K_martin56 : My birth daughter was born on November 9‚ 1989 in Rockford‚ IL. Her name at birth was Ashley Elizabeth Martin. Her last known city she lived in was Winston Salem‚ NC. I haven’t received any updates in years. She is currently 35 years old. She had/has blonde hair and blue eyes. "Ashley" was 3 months old when she was adopted. Her birth parents said she played soccer. Circumstances about her adoption: I was 19 years old‚ not married but with her birth father. He was 10 years older than I was. He drank constantly‚ heavily into drugs‚ police record‚ a real gem. He moved me away from my family‚ isolated with no friends. I was totally dependent upon him. We moved from Charlotte to Rockford‚ IL. Briefly there about 3 months‚ then onto Jacksonville‚ Fla. AFter an attempt by his mother to shoot me‚ back to Charlotte‚ NC where I came to stay with my parents. I didn’t have a great relationhsip with my mother‚ so I was only allowed a couple of weeks before I had to leave. With no job‚ no money‚ or transportation: Adoption was the best bet. I haven’t had any update since she was 4 years old‚ not sure what she looks like now.
2802. MegMG73 : My mother and her identical twin sister were adopted at birth by Louis and Margaret Arning in 1951. They were born in either Ashville or Brevard NC and once adopted‚ they were taken to Pennsylvania to live. Both my mother and my aunt are deceased as well as their adoptive parents. They knew at an early age that they were adopted and were told that there were other siblings. When I was a teenager‚ my mother had met with the doctor who had delivered her and my aunt. He passed away shortly after that visit and my mother did not share any information with me or any of my siblings.
I am searching for any possible family members that could help shed light on the circumstances of the adoption. If anyone has any information that could help‚ I would greatly appreciate your assistance.
