213. Byelvington : At the time of adoption you had been named Riella Sunshine Clifton. Your birth mother is Sara Clifton and birth father Brandon Yelvington. The adoption was an open adoption but neither parents made contact after your move to New Jersey. Your adoptive parents were a wonderful gay couple, two males.
215. Theviewfromtuesday : My birth certificate says I was born in Greensboro‚ North Carolina but my adoptive parents’ names are on the certificate and they did the adoption through Catholic Social Services so the only thing I know for sure is that I was born somewhere in the Diocese of Charlotte‚ North Carolina to two unmarried parents in their mid-late twenties. I was born six weeks early and have red hair and blue eyes. There were two letters exchanged between my biological mother and birth mother. And I was given a teddy bear and doll from my birth mother.
216. MegaMonster : I am looking for my 1/2 Sister. She was born on July 3rd, 1969. My mother was underage and sent to a home for unwed mothers in Lynchburg VA. where she finished out the pregnancy. This baby girl was born there, but my mother was told that because of the laws the Daughter would be sent to the Children’s home society in Greensboro NC where she would be adopted approximately 7 weeks later. My mother was forced by her parents to give the daughter up for adoption, and it has been a life long dream that she would one day be able to meet this daughter again. She says she was able to hold her once before they took her away. I hope we find you out there, we would all love to meet you.
219. Katsoo : My son would have red hair or at least a reddish tint, and light skin that easily burns, and freckles, because his siblings both do. Chances of facial hair being red is strong.
220. Jetman62 : I am looking for my adopted child. Child who was born in Charlotte NC to me (John Eric Thomas). Unfortunately‚ I don’t remember much due to my age at the time and parents took over regarding adoption assistance. I am embarassed that I don’t even know the exact year of birth (81-82) nor the sex of my child. It was all a blur and traumatic due to not really knowing about the pregnancy until after the birth. I recently got a DNA test via ancestry to find matches and added it to this site I also plan to do a 23andMe DNA test. Mother’s name was Gay Stokes
221. Teresatilley : My birth mother died in a car accident when I was 2 or 3. I am just trying to find out where she was buried and any information about her. I have been searching for 10 years and have found nothing because the adoption was a closed adoption, I cant get threw the red tape. Her name was Louise Tilley. I am not sure if she was married to my father Randy Grainger at the time of her death.I have had 3 different mothers and 3 different fathers, I would like some closure to this chapter in my life.
223. Caro1 : I am adopted and know very little about my birth family, but am looking for relatives based on my DNA results. I was born August 6, 1970 and was 2 months premature. I was adopted in Wake County, North Carolina. Here is what I know about my birth parents as of 1970:
*My birth mother was 18 years old and the eldest of 6 children. She was 5’3" tall with long auburn hair, and very dark brown eyes. She was active in high school intramural sports/school clubs and played the accordion.
*At the time, her mother (my maternal grandmother) was a nurse’s aide and her father (my maternal grandfather) was a training manager for a large equipment company.
*My birth father was 25 years old in 1970 and a graduate of North Carolina State University. He was 5’11" with blond hair and blue eyes. He was unaware of the pregnancy.
224. JBenosky : Hi , I was adopted from the Children’s Home Society in North Carolina. I am searching for my birth parents, I do not want to intrude on your life, I am happy and just want to know where I come from. I was adopted from the Children’s Home Society in NC. For a short period of time they also lived in California during my fathers residency.
The birth mother was 15 years of age and was a tenth grade student. The birth mother has an older brother (worked in construction) and a half-sister. The birth mothers parents divorced when she was young, she stayed with her mother while her brother and father stayed together. Birth mother had her tonsils out at age 7. When she (birth mother) gave birth the following is family history Birth mother’s mother was a waitress, paternal grandfather was a storekeeper, maternal grandfather was a farmer, her maternal grandmother was a cook her paternal grandfather was deceased (at time of her pregnancy) all other grandparents were alive and in good health. I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
