1773. Memeleelee : My mother has been on a search her whole life to find her biological parents. She was born February 16, 1970. Birth was in Catawba county, N.C.
she was adopted in Cherokee County, NC. Adoption was filed June 19th and finalized July 24 of 1970. The information she was given for her biological parents are very slim. But as far as we know- the biological mother and father may have had an affair with one another resulting in the pregnancy.
The mother was 26 at birth- 5’4 green eyes and blonde hair.
the fathers age isn’t listed but is said to have been 6’1 with reddish blonde hair and gray blue eyes. Would have been in construction and dispatch work. He had 3 kids. Also had 3 brothers- one who was considered “retarded”. The paternal grandfather worked in a furniture store.
There were 3 other siblings from mother. (2 sisters, 1 brother- one daughter lived with an aunt, the boy had been abandoned as well)
Brother- reddish blonde hair, freckles, and green eyes.
Mother also had 6 sisters and 4 brothers.

My adoption was handled by Hollowell‚ Stott & Hollowell in Gastonia & final order of adoption stated I was placed in my adoptive parents care June 12‚ 1972. The petition for adoption was filed June 28‚ 1972 & issued August 16‚ 1972. Their final paperwork was dated August 3‚ 1973. All I have been told was my birth parents were in college In the area & not ready for marriage or a child & that at the time there were no health issues or medical problems in the family history. As I age I get asked important medical questions to which I can’t answer & starting to have some health concerns that might could be answered if you would please. I don’t want to interfere in your lives especially since I have always felt I had siblings out there & they may not know about me. I need to know my heritage & medical history. My life has been great & couldn’t have asked for better adoptive parents. I want to thank you for choosing life. This search comes only after my dad & mom passed.
