The mother chose the adoption agency and I don't recall the name of the agency or where their office was located in NC. I do recall that the mother requested the adopting family be catholic. I have never searched for this child because I did not want to disrupt his life. In speaking with a friend‚ they said to me "did you ever consider that the child might feel the same". (i.e. The child may not want to disrupt my life). And‚ this friend said that the child might have questions they would like answered. After thinking about this‚ I thought I should find this child and let him know it would not be a disruption to me and I am willing to answer any questions. Then he can make the decision if he wants to contact me.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
