1887. Condrey : I was 16 years old when I gave birth to a son. I had no choice at the time and had to give him up for adoption. He was born in Salisbury North Carolina at Rowan Regional Hospital. Immediately after birth he went to Greensboro Children’s Home in North Carolina for adoption placement. He was placed with a couple. I think the mother may have been a teacher, the father played guitar as a hobby. I have waited 21 years (since his 18th birthday) hoping for him to show up at my door one da. I never wanted to interfere with his life but I really want him to know that I absolutely have loved him his entire life. I have left letters and contact information in his file at the Children’s Home in Greensboro NC. In NC adoption records remain closed. Should they ever open, I wanted him to be able to find me should he ever want to. Hopefully,I will be able to locate him and at least talk with him. I would like him to know why I had to let him be adopted. A decision I have regreated for the past 39 years.
