662. Tarat72 : We have been blessed to find 2 of my Mother’s missing siblings but we are still on the lookout for Joseph! His sisters are waiting to meet him! Joseph was born June 3, 1951 in Greensboro, NC to Novella Coble Merritt. Children were removed from the home when Joseph was around 18 months of age we have no further information.
664. Janesyeastrolls : My son was born 6/14/1987, 11:52 am, Raleigh, NC, Wake County. He was adopted. by a couple in NJ when he was 3 days old. It was a blind adoption and the NJ lawyer’s name is Peter Hennes. I submitted a a letter explaining the circumstances. My name at that time was Jane Tyson Peatross. I encourage all to get a DN A test done and registered. Please contact me with any Iinfo. Thank you!
669. Dancer67 : I was placed for adoption thru the Children Home Society. I was adopted in Greensboro NC. I believe one or both of my birth parents were in medical school at the time of my birth.
673. Lisavan18 : Mixed race male b 1/3/1986 in ?. Cared for by birth mother for a short time, then in foster care and then placed with the Children’s Home Society of N.C. on 10/10/86. Adopted on 12/19/1986. Has a 1/2 sibling (sister) about 2 1/2 years older. No info on what happened to her. Birth mother was married. Don’t know if it was the birth father. Do not believe so. Mother was 21 y.o. At time of birth. Probably born in 1965-66. Birth mom was adopted also, at 6 years of age. Birth mom had brother who was adopted also at 4-5 years of age. Birth mother’s brother worked for a trucking co. Birth father was African American (probably mixed race) and worked for a trucking co. Birth mom had a 10th grade education and loved to do crafts and one day wanted to own her own craft store. She was a waitress at the time of the birth and adoption. Birth mom was 5’3 115 lbs, strawberry blonde hair and fair completed. Birth mother’s brother was 6’2 175 lbs, blue eyes, blonde hair. Birth mother indicated that her birth mother and grandfather both had cancer. Birth mother’s half sister had epilepsy. Birth mother suffered from migraines. Birth mother’s religious affiliation was Mormon. Birth father was 28 in 1986. 5’8 tall, 150 lbs, brown eyes, dark complexion. Worked for a trucking co.
674. Cofegley : I am helping a cousin (found via DNA testing) to locate her mother’s younger sister. The sister was born in Person County, NC to parents Bettie Mae (Lottie) Carver and James Henry Bowes. We have found a NC birth index record, but nothing beyond that. She was born in 1925. Her parents divorced in 1927. She had a brother, James, and a sister, Helen Alma, both of whom were older. The brother, we believe went with the father and the girls went with the mother, but she was not able to take care of both and either the gave the younger child up for adoption or she was taken away. We believe her name is either Olive or Ollie. The birth index is for Ollie Virginia Bowes. We believe she may have either been adopted by or later married someone with the last name of Wingo.
675. JCaesarR48 : I am searching my grandfather who was said was adopted. I am doing a family tree and never thought it would be this hard. The birth year is 1891, but your drop down button does not go that far back.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
