A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within North Carolina Who Chose To Be Featured
1291. DBQuigley : Hello!
My name is Deborah Benson Quigley and I was born in Winston-Salem, NC on October 28, 1967. I was adopted within 2 months of my birth by two graduate students attending Wake Forest University. I am searching for my biological family. The non-identifying information that was provided to me is that my biological parents were not together at the time of my birth. My parents were in their late teens/early 20’s and heart disease was prevalent on my mothers side.
1295. Ndnstud : Not positive of the year. My mother died right after I turned 6. I have a sister named Dianne who is 6 years older than me born in 1961. Our mothers maiden name was Mary Louise Thompson from Pennsylvania. It is my understanding that about two or three years before Dianne was born my mother gave birth to twin girls possibly in the Marion North Carolina area and gave them up for adoption.
1297. MistySherman1992 : I looking for Michael L Waters (birth name) born in Asheville NC in My 1992 in the Mision Memorial Neonatal Intenisive Care Unit . You were born premature. The amazing doctors and exceptional nurses there took beyond compare care of you. I have thought of you everyday. I hope you have had a good life, a life that I would not have been able to given you.
1299. Sarahsmile84 : Serenity was the last known name I knew she had her birth mother is Mary Jenkins and her biological father is Lawrence Wiley. I’m looking to reconnect with my half sister.
1301. Laceyvd : my mother and father gave up my older brother for adoption due to circumstances at the time ,but only my mothers name is on his birth certificate. a friend of my mother’s who died in a car crash that same year is who my mother put as the father on the birth certificate. all i know for sure is that it was around 1981, could be 1980, (when i was 24, i was told he was 10 years older than me) and probably in North Carolina-where he was born- but i know the adoption agency was for the south in America: NC, SC, georgia, Alabama..etc. My mother is from Charlotte, the north mecklenburg area is probably where she wsas living at the time of his birth, and also the man’s death whose name is on the birth certificate.
my mothers name is robin melissa fesperman defelice
fesperman(maiden name) goes by Lisa.
my father is Bill DeFelice, even though from what i understand-that information is irrellevant.
1302. Dmcoxe60 : I am trying to find out when my step brother was adopted or may have had a name change. He might be a legal heir to some property ! This is the info I have: Name: Bobby Barbee Coxe {now} Bobby C Bromby at birth. Name change happened in High school or College. My Fathers name was David Christopher Coxe and his wife was Vivian Barbee Coxe. This is mine and my sisters situation with this. We inherited a house from my mom and other sister passing away. Neither my sister or I have had anything to do with bobby for over 20 or more years. Because of NC Sibling law, he might still be entitled to part of the house. This is a slap in both of our faces considering that we all had disowned our father for many reasons. If he only had a name change, then he will not be entitled but if he was adopted at a certain age, he will still not be entitled. I do not at all wish any or hold any ill feelings toward Bobby but his mother and my father were very good at Manipulating people ! All we need is a definite date and we could greatly bring this to whatever the courts would conclude.
1303. Juju61 : My son was born in Charlotte NC at Memorial hospital which is now called Carolinas Medical Center
I was not married at the time I gave birth and went by Julie Moe I did get married later on and go by my married name Dover.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
