7. Dwodum : I have very little non-identifying information. All I know is that my birth mom was 15 and my birth dad was 25 at the time of my birth. My birth mom had reddish brown hair, medium complexion with hazel eyes. My birth dad had blonde hair, dark complexion and hazel eyes. Onslow County Department of Social Services in Jacksonville, NC handled the adoption. It was a normal, full term pregnancy. I weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. My birth Mom was in the 11th grade at the time I was born. She had a brother who was 16 years old. It stated in my non-identifying information that my birth mom gave me up because she knew the importance of an education and wanted to further her education. I have been told I was flown on an airplane at 5 days old. That is all I know.
8. Kathipie : I am searching for my birth parent(s) or siblings. I was born October 16, 1972 (+-) in Mecklenberg Co. North Carolina, or so my record says. I believe my parent(s) were in the military, and were possibly a couple. One or (possibly) both served in Vietnam. My adoption was processed through DSS, and was finalized in SC.
9. Auntmimi : I was born on August 5, 1963 in Winston-Salem, NC to Peggy Overstreet. Dr Whitaker delivered me. I have found 4 living & 1 deceased siblings, all born to Peggy. She has also gone by the names Spicer & Scales. I know we have a sister born in the late 1950’s, possibly a set of twins born after 1963. There is a possibility that I have a twin sister.
11. Jnevanen : I am looking for my brother who was given up for adoption in North Carolina. He was probably born around 1955 His birthmother is from South Carolina.
14. Jodette1 : I am looking for a nephew that was born in Fort Bragg N.C or close to there. I think they sent my sister away to a home to have the baby. Her maiden name is Nealy. She said the adoption went thru Catholic Charities of North Carolina. The hospital was Womack Army Hospital.
15. Michellecary : Born in Lynchburg, VA, the adoption was done through the Children’s Home Society in Greensboro, NC. The adoption would have taken place sometime in late May or June, 1970. Approximately 7.0 lbs at birth and collar bone was broken during delivery.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
