A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Minnesota Who Chose To Be Featured
1291. Susani61 : I was born August 11 1961 which was on a Friday, in Fergus Falls MN. I was put into foster care. Possible birth name Susan Jane. I am of Norwegian descent, some Sweedish. I know my birth father was Irish and Sweedish, with red hair and freckles. I have a half sister same father. She is 61 and also adopted. She was born in Minneapolis MN.
1292. Naep2222 : My name is renee payton, before I was adopted and my name was changed it was Maranda Jones. My parents told me I had 8 other siblings besides myself and my twin brother. We were born January 30th 2000 and we are an hour apart. I was told my biological moms name is cozette Jones but I have no idea if that is true
1293. Lclance1 : My sons birthplace was Duluth,MN at St Lukes hospital. I was asked to name baby, be it temporary but I named him Ian Donald. My maiden name was Edstrom.
1294. Dsyeaton : We looked for decades for a missing cousin. We found his sibling several years ago via cousinconnect and him this year (2019) via DNA, about two weeks before their birth mother our aunt died.
She was born in 1960 and adopted in FL. He was born in 1958, adopted in CA, and lives in UT.
At our aunt’s funeral, neighbors told us that in her last months, she told them she had children. Three or four children. Neighbors have told us that the aunt (born 1936) became pregnant in high school (1950-1955 if this is true) or at age 17 (1953-1954 if this is true) and was sent to FL to have the baby.
We do not know much: mother’s maiden name, if listed: Anderson, birth state of mother: MA, she was very tall and thin, loved animals and dogs, Danish, German, English ethnicity. We have done DNA on ancestrydna and 23andme.
If this is you....or you think it could be you because part of the story matches...please do DNA testing so that we can see if we match!
And we are unsure why there were said to be: three or four children. Could it have been twins, which run in our family? Or is there another child with a different birth year and possible different birth and adoption state? These birth years are only guesses...it conceivably could have been any time after her birth in 1936 as maybe a teen (1949 or before?) to menopause (maybe before 1986?) but most likely in the 1950s or 1960s. Do any of these guesses for you or someone you know? We are a dozen cousins looking for decades!
1296. Needinganswers28 : I dont have much information. My mother ’s first name was Latasha. I was born in Chicago, Illnois at Chicago Lying in Hospital. The story I was given is CPS took me, my sister Rolanda and my brother Christopher away when I was three, my sister was two, my brother just a infant. My birth name is Jenai Tymak Shanice Brazell. Sometime in 1993 or 1994 my birth mother relocated us to Minnesota, could have been sooner. My siblings and I have different fathers. My sister is a mulatto, half white, half black. We were born with Fetal Alcohol syndrome. We supposedly had a older sister who was taken in by bio grandma.
1297. Loriannmiller2019 : my name is Lori Ann, I was born in Minneapolis, Mn. in 1960. Metropolitan Medical Center, which I believe is now Hennepin County Medical Center. The agency in charge of my adoption was Hennepin County Social services (I think). My adoptive parents were Vern and Ordella Miller who lived in Richfield, Mn.
1299. Rhfarmen : I was born October 28th 1957 in Hennepin County , MN. My papers say baby boy Erickson . Mothers Name is Violett Erickson.
