927. LeslieSueLarsen : I am looking for my brother Stephan. He was born on or about 2/11/53 at Anchor Hospital in St. Paul Minnesota. Birth Mother was Alberta Pearl Larsen (born 1927-1928 of Swedish/Danish decent), now deceased. Stephan was said to be named after his birth father (Italian decent?), possible last name of Richards or Richardson. Alberta gave Stephan to his birth father a few months following his birth, but it is uncertain if there was an official adoption or signed custody. The birth father was married at the time of Stephan’s birth to Judith or Judy Richards, who agreed to help raise him. Stephan was the 1st of 4 children born to Alberta that were given up for adoption - Sandra Jean Larsen aka Barbara Jean Jeffreys (1956), Cheryl Ann Larsen aka Lori Beth Johnson (1958) and Leslie Sue Larsen aka LeeAnn Jean Syvertsen (1959). Alberta also had 2 older daughters that she raised as a single parent. They are Kathleen Dorthea Larsen (1949) and Gail Lynn Larsen (1951). At the time of Stephan’s birth both birth mother and father lived in the neighborhood of Grove Street near downtown St. Paul, MN. It is uncertain if Stephen (Steven/Steve) stayed with his birth father or if he was later adopted out to another family. All siblings were born at Anchor Hospital and the 3 adoptees went through Lutheran Social Services. All of Alberta’s daughters have been united and Stephan is the last sibling to be found.

He was in foster care in Crystal MN before adoption. He was born at HCMC hospital in Minneapolis. At birth he had a breathing illness and may still as I do also.
930. JulieFeatherman : Hello, I was born in LaCrosse Wisconsin, possibly St Francis Hospital. Catholic Charities of St Paul handled the adoption. I was told that my birth mother met my my birth father at an east coast college. She was scurried away to a ’place’ to have me. Her family was in St. Paul Minnesota. Her father was a doctor and pushed the adoption. My bio dad probably knew little about the pregnancy and ’returned to South America’ after completion of his studies in the US. I have had 2 DNA tests, revealing that my father was/is Colombian. I know that my bio mom had/has a brother. I also know that my bio mom never had any other children of her own, but may have adopted a child. I believe she named me ’Christine Claire.’ I am 51 years old with 2 daughters. I live in Philadelphia.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
