I recently received the results of my Ancestry DNA test and had one close family match (slschulz_1). From my understanding, a close family match could be Aunt and Niece. However this person has not logged onto their Ancestry account since December of 2016, so I don’t know if they are aware of this recent match.
145. Cin082459 : My mom gave birth to a baby girl in Des Moines‚ IA at the Salvation Army for Unwed Mothers. She named her Cindra. My mom’s name is Mary.
My mom wasn’t sure how to perform a search like this. That is why I am doing this for her. She is aware and wanting to find the girl she was forced to give up for adoption in Augst 1959.
I want you to know my mother is an incredible strong loving woman. She would never have given you up if she could have supported you. My mom was too young‚ misled by your birth father‚ and from a poor family who would not help.
Our mother had trouble conceiving when she was married so I am also adopted. I have searched before and found my birth mother. I know all the fears that run through your head... is she healthy‚ mentally unstable‚ an addict‚ homeless‚ violent‚ indifferent‚ a con artist.
I want to assure you‚ my mom is stable physically‚ emotionally and/or otherwise. She raised two healthy children with her husband of over 50 years. She is active and well liked in her community.
If this story sounds right but the dates seem off‚ know that dates are often changed. For instance‚ my birth certificate and the date of the adoption decree are several months apart.
I hope this helps and if this is not a match‚ I wish you the very best of luck in finding who you are looking for and may God Bless you and your search.
146. Ktez71 : I have met my birth mother but I am searching for my birth father. He would have been about 23 years old in 1971 and worked with my mom at the 3M company in St. Paul or a nearby suburb. He was married at the time and disappeared once he found out my mother was pregnant. I was born in a hospital in Ramsey county‚ but the hospital no longer exists. I was adopted through Lutheran Social Services.
147. 01291969Birthdate : I was born at Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis. The adoption was through Lutheran Social Services. I have received the Medical back ground letter from LLS. I would search through LLS but their fees are prohibitive.
149. LorenMichaelZajac : Loren Michael Zajac was given by birth parent. Adopted with a twin sister, Laura Marie Zajac. 2 months old when I went to adopted parents. Adoption was thru the Catholic church, a closed adoption.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
