A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Minnesota Who Chose To Be Featured
1021. MichaelandMarianne : I was adopted with my sister, Marianne (dob 9/27/57) through Hennepin County (Minneapolis, MN) social services. Approximate date of adoption was February 28, 1959.
1023. 22qmommy : Birth mother was Theresa Pelowski and she was approximately 14/15. Birth father was David Solum and he was approximately 16. I believe that he was born in Rochester, Minnesota and adopted through Catholic Charities. If this might be you, please send me a message! I’ve been looking for you ever since I found out I had a brother about 25 years ago.
1024. Teacher7 : I am searching for my birth mother and/or father. I was born on October 24, 1973 in Rapid City, SD. I believe that my birth mother was from Rapid City and was 19 yrs of age. I was told she was from a prominent family. My birth father was stationed in the air force and was a little older than my birth mother.
1027. MaryMN : Baby boy named Nicolis Gene was born on December 25, 1975 to Beverly Jeannine Bourke at Golden Valley Hospital in Golden Valley, MN. She had just turned 17 and was not able to care for her baby due to her age and an unstable home environment (her father was abusive and an alcoholic). She loved her baby and has said it was the hardest decision she ever had to make, but wanted better for her child than she had herself. The adoption was handled through Catholic Charities. She wrote him a letter, which she hopes was given to the adopted family and shared with her son.
1030. Beth4 : My biological father was born in Minnesota. I believe he was born in Minneapolis. He was adopted by Arthur and Mildred Schardin. He was given the name Stuart Glazer Schardin. He is deceased and my brother and I would like to know more about our family on our fathers side
1031. MPO601 : I am looking for my birth mother. I was born in Fort Frances, Ontario at Laverendrye Hospital. I was given up for adoption and was possibly in foster care for 4 months before my adoptive parents took custody of me in August of 1968. My adoptive parents are American and lived in Virginia, Minnesota at the time. I am trying to determine if my birth mother was American (which is what my adoptive parents were told) or Canadian. I was adopted through Catholic Charities but Catholic Charities in Duluth, MN states they have no record of my adoption. The only document I have is from an attorney in Minnesota who is no longer alive. I do have a copy of my birth record from Ontario, Canada which lists my adoptive parents names.
1033. Meoshia : I am looking for my older adopted sister. She was adopted before I was born. Our mother’s name is Cynthia Powell. She was very young when my sister was born. Her birth name is Janice Powell and she would be my eldest sister but I don’t know exactly when she was born. I estimate it was around 1976 give or take a few years. My mom would have been 14.
1034. TianaSchroeder : I don’t know if my sibling or siblings where adopted or even put out for adoption. I just want to find out if I have siblings or sibling out there my dad always dienied that he had other children to my sisters and I but then our mom said that he was with multiple women and they could have gotten pregnant.
1035. Kitchenqueen : Researching for a friend‚ Born John Edward Peterson Feb 4th 1952 Morehead Minnesota Adoption took place August 25th 1953 in Minnesota.
