A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Minnesota Who Chose To Be Featured
346. KarenCaudillo : My father was adopted and I am looking for my ancestry He was supposedly born in St Paul Minnesota went to high school in Idaho and later married my mother in Indiana
350. WaianaeWahine : Today is my son’s John Joseph Walsh III 30th birthday and I have never stopped loving or thinking about him. John was born 19 July 1987 at Kapiolani Women’s and Childrens’ Medical Center in Honolulu. When his father (John Joseph Walsh, Jr.) passed away in Hawaii in February 1991, his father’s sister and mother, who had been caring for him full-time basically adopted him in Hawaii where we were all living though I received no legal documents to this effect at any time. In 1993-94 the three of them moved to Winona, Minnesota and by that time had proceeded to make my son believe that I abandoned him. However, I in fact chose to leave my son with his aunt and grandmother because of some poor choices I made for "friends" in a prior life, who I feared might try to injure my son (or worse) if I had cared for my son just by myself. There was a brief court case in Minnesota with my in-laws, Regina Rose Walsh and Margaret Adeline Walsh (mom-in-law), filing for custody without visitation in 1995-1996. For a year, I got to enjoy supervised visits with John with a court-appointed-guardian-ad-litem in Winona, but John refused to engage with me EVER I guess believing that I had intentionally abandoned him or I didn’t deserve to be in his life. John then 8-9 years old began writing letters saying he wanted nothing to do with me and for years I’ve given him his space. However, if you find him, I want John to know that I’ve NEVER EVER stopped loving him, thinking of and worrying about him and that I wish him only happiness and I hope he’s found happiness in someone who loves him and whom he loves just as much. I want very much to reconnect with John and strongly believe that whatever threat may have existed before, has long ago been extinguished. Any assistance you can provide in reconnecting me with my son will be SO very much appreciated.
