1653. DeannaAlvord : St. Mary’s hospital in Minneapolis in early 1959 my mom had a baby girl. I believe she was born in February, but don’t have the exact birthdate. I know she gave the baby the middle name of ’Bernadette’. My mom lied to the hospital and told them her name was Gwen Owens, but that was not her name. The baby was adopted through Catholic Charities in Minneapolis.

My parent were in college at the time. Talked marriage but decided against it. My adoption papers also mentioned aunts and an uncle, I believe they younger then my parents. Looking for any information and relatives to Rachel Folkestad who died Sept. 29, 1959 in Anoka Co.MN. It states also "alias" Halvorson. She was born Rakel Pedersdtr. Vaage or Waage in Selje parish, Nordfjord, Norway. Her parents were Peder and Kari (nee Rodberg) Waage who emigrated with all children in 1892, first to Iowa (Fertile, Forest City area in NC Iowa) then to Crookston, MN. Later the parents are in Mobridge SD. We believe her husband was Peder or Peter Folkestad, possibly from Thompson Iowa area. She was widowed we believe early. But Fertile Lutheran Church (Iowa) say that a Mr and Mrs Peter Folkestad had a girl Ida Belle in 1908. Any help would be great. They were born in 1901 and my grandmother was later adopted by the Sondroll family ( Louis and Carrie) in Benson, MN. My grandmother and grand uncle were born to Minerdt and Karn Williamson on April 21,1901 in Cyrus, MN . Alternate name Minnert and Carrie Williamson or Williamsen.
1662. Mizdukek : I believe that I was born in Le Sueur Minnesota and I know that I was adopted through Catholic Charities in St Paul Minnesota.
I believe my birth mother was 16-17 and my birth father was 17-18 at the time.
1663. U263934 : My father was born Sept. 28, 1950 in Austin, TX. He was white and his parents were white. There was the name of Albert Alsenz listed as his father but I think that might not be true. I am almost positive the mother was Alice Marie Lane Alsenz. Albert was born in 1911 in Brooklyn, NY and Alice in 1927 in Shandaken, NY. Both parents stated they had other children from other relationships either already adopted out or in foster care waiting for papers to be signed so they can be adopted. The only indication of where these children are is the mother said she had a child in foster care ’up east’ with the parents wanting to adopt the child which may have been a boy. The Alsenz’s lived in Austin, TX in 1950-1952 and in Kansas in 1956. The Kansas census has a Donald and a Jack Alsenz listed as being with them. I don’t think these were Alice’s children. I think they were the children of Albert and a Ruth Kniffen Alsenz Hartman Olsen now buried in New Orleans, and they were visiting with Albert and Alice, with Ruth being the person in charge of them. The birth mothers name would be Shirley Hansen age 16 and birth fathers name would be keith grossman age 15 or 16 .
