His first and middle name at birth was Shama William‚ born at Fairview Riverside Medical Center in Minneapolis‚ MN.
It is believed that Stephen’s
may have also adopted Shama so the brothers could be raised together.

Shama was removed from parents soon after birth‚ most likely within a month. He has an older brother‚ born 8/19/1986‚ whose first and middle name at birth was Stephen Michael‚ who was taken from the same parents at about 17 months of age (around January 1988).
Both adoptions happened through officials in Carver County‚ MN and it is highly likely Shama was adopted by the same people who adopted his older brother Stephen.
It is believed that Stephen’s parents were approached by the County to also adopt Shama‚ so the brothers could be raised together.
