Temekia81 : My husband has been looking for his son‚ Curtis Hines Jr. He was adopted in Seattle‚ Washington while in the military‚ after trusting his lawyer‚ who convinced him to sign a document for temporary guardianship‚ but it actual adoption papers. His wife at the time had a mental breakdown and his son was placed in the care of a Caucasian family. He was supposed to be at every hearing but having to walk miles to get there from his military location‚ he would be a few minutes late. His attorney told him if he didn’t sign a form for the family to have temporary custody‚ he wouldn’t be able to see his son anymore. It seems that he signed over custody without knowing.

My mother is from Crosby‚ ND and her name is Barbara. She graduation high school in 1964. My father was a few years older than her‚ and I’m told he was from West Virginia and was in the USAF‚ stationed at Minot AFB where they met and dated for 1-2 years. I would have been conceived about in August of ’64. After that he was transferred to a base in Alaska.
My mother went away to have me in 1965 in Spokane‚ WA where I understand she had extended family on my mother’s side. I would welcome any information regarding my father or contact from either parent.
