I am creating this profile to search for my nephew who was adopted, in case he would like to make contact, learn about his bio family, medical background, etc, the door is open. Everything I know about the child was told to me by his uncle, my husband Ben Kaufman. Ben was only about 12-13 when the baby was born, and does not remember all the specific details such as the exact birth date.
The father of the baby was Christopher James Kaufman, the eldest of two sons of Larry Kaufman and Nina Ellis. The mother was a Mormon girl named Leia Elizabeth Zander, the second of four children, and only daughter of Henry Zander and Lorene Boyce. Chris and Leia met at school in Olympia, WA. The baby was born in or around the year 2000, probably in Olympia, when Chris and Leia were about 15 years old. Ben believes the baby was a boy named Gabriel, and was given up for adoption at birth. I do not know the adoption agency, the adoptive parents’ names, or if the child was renamed upon adoption. As far as I know, the bio parents have had no contact with the child since then. The adoptee would be about 20 years old now.

Jennifersorrell : I was born in Seattle at the Swedish Hospital, the agency who handled the adoption was The Washington Children’s Home Society, agent Mrs Swanson, my age at adoption was 10 days old. My adoptive parents were Eugene Scott Lewis and Joan Manship /Lewis. At the time of my birth my biological parents were aged 15 and he 16.
1716. Amber7993 : I am looking for my half-sister, name at birth was Marquesha(unsure of spelling), Ferguson. Adopted around 2000 in the greater Seattle area, she would’ve been 12ish. Biological father’s name is Alfred (Fred) Eugene Ferguson.
1719. Dsyeaton : We looked for decades for a missing cousin. We found his sibling several years ago via cousinconnect and him this year (2019) via DNA, about two weeks before their birth mother our aunt died.
She was born in 1960 and adopted in FL. He was born in 1958, adopted in CA, and lives in UT.
At our aunt’s funeral, neighbors told us that in her last months, she told them she had children. Three or four children. Neighbors have told us that the aunt (born 1936) became pregnant in high school (1950-1955 if this is true) or at age 17 (1953-1954 if this is true) and was sent to FL to have the baby.
We do not know much: mother’s maiden name, if listed: Anderson, birth state of mother: MA, she was very tall and thin, loved animals and dogs, Danish, German, English ethnicity. We have done DNA on ancestrydna and 23andme.

And we are unsure why there were said to be: three or four children. Could it have been twins, which run in our family? Or is there another child with a different birth year and possible different birth and adoption state? These birth years are only guesses...it conceivably could have been any time after her birth in 1936 as maybe a teen (1949 or before?) to menopause (maybe before 1986?) but most likely in the 1950s or 1960s. Do any of these guesses for you or someone you know? We are a dozen cousins looking for decades!
1720. McCordfamily : My brother and I surmised that our mother had a male child at the age of 15. She mentioned being sent to a "boarding School" for a year. At the time she lived in Bremerton,Washington. She has passed. We would love to find our sibling.
