Name on back of original birth certificate was Gilbride. Adopted by Robert E. and Florence A. Lewis of Brockton. Delivered to them on April 10, 1961.

I lived at St Mary’s home for unwed mothers, run by St Margarets of Dorchester, Ma, and ?Sisters of St Joseph. The Boston Children’s Service Association ran the adoption. She was suppose to be adopted by a family with one child, parents unable to have children. Mom homemaker, Dad business person, financially stable. 637. Belle2017 : Hoping to find Corliss born in Suffolk MA in abt 1949. Corliss is a half sister. My DNA has been uploaded to Ancestry DNA and GEDmatch....Corliss was adopted at about the age of 9. She became a ward of the state of Massachusetts in 1950.
638. Robinsonsnow : She was born at St. Margaret’s Hospital‚ Dorchester‚ Massachusetts. I believe her doctor was William A. Lynch. The adoption was through Catholic Charities. My father sought information through the years and Catholic Charities shared that the adoptive parents in 1958 owned a home in a Boston suburb‚ the father (age 41) was a construction inspector‚ the mother (age 34) an office worker prior to becoming a mother. Both were Roman Catholic and of Irish descent. The couple also adopted a son who was two years older than her. I am her first cousin and was born four months later. My adoptive cousin’s last name may have been Snow or Robinson. Birth mother’s name was given as Rita Snow or Rita Robinson of Brooklyn‚ NY. Have been searching since we found out about her in 2005.
