I believe he was turned over to the Department of Social Services by his aunt Ruserva Colon in 1984 and her husband gave Rafael his last name (Santiago). I was also adopted in 1984 in Brockton‚ Massachusetts. Rafael has other siblings searching for him as well. We are sure he was adopted in 1984 in Cambridge‚ Massachusetts. Thank you.

Have created a tree with all descendants of this family and tied the DNA matches to it. The bio father was a law student at the time. The bio mother Irma Mae Devaul had just finished nursing school at Wingdale‚NY. she was born April 1947‚ in Binghamton‚ NY. It was a private adoption by "Little Wanderers" in Boston. The adopting parents are William and Geraldine McCormack‚ Geraldine was a Doctor‚ and is deceased.
1980. Sm5141957 : My son was born in Wesson Women’s Hospital‚ now known as Baystate Medical Center‚ Spfld‚ MA. I was counseled at Brightside in West Spfld‚ MA and they also handled the adoption. That section of the hospital is called Wesson Womens again or Wesson Maternity. I never got a birth certificate because the nurse thought it would be easier for the adoptive parents.
