362. DSawers : My adoption went through Batshaw in Montreal, Quebec. I wa placed first in foster care. My biological mom was young. Maybe 16-19.
363. AndreaLG : I am looking for my biological family. I was told I was born in Montréal, Quebec Canada, but could have been Québec City or even the Sudbury, Ottawa, Pembroke area. I have no documents from the adoption. I was told the name of a woman who is believed to be my biological mother, however I am not sure that name was the truth. I was possibly born at Hôpital de L’Enfant- Jésus or Hôtel Dieu in Montréal, Quebec. Some medical questions have come up recently for my adult children and grandchildren and Im wondering if they were possibly inherited.
364. Meganmillar1997 : My name is Megan, I’m searching for my sister bailey. She had her fathers last name “Quienty”. I’m not sure if it was changed. I know her fostermoms name was barbara, the last name was Parker I think. but not 100% sure. Also think they live in pointe Claire. Not sure about now tho it’s been a long time. Shes like 13 now so I don’t wana ambush her either but being in the system is scary and anything can happen. So I just wana know she’s safe/still with the woman.
365. PB1964 : Born in Montreal at the Montreal General May 2, 1964 from Irish parents that were in their teenage years. Father may have been Irish or polish. Was adopted at 6 months old. Looking for parents or close relatives
366. CedarHillGrant : Searching for SIBLINGS of my husband’s mother: 1. Girl, born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 04 August 1919, daughter of Alexander William Smith (1884-1932) and Emily Whiteman Smith (1888-1926). She was baptized and named EDNA GIBSON SMITH on 14 January 1921 at Victoria Presbyterian Church , Montreal. She was baptised again, along with her brother and sister, on 03 Jan 1926, at Chalmers United Church in Montreal. 2. Boy, born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 31 May 1921, son of Alexander William Smith (1884-1932) and Emily Whiteman Smith (1888-1926). He was baptised and named GORDON ALEXANDER SMITH, along with his two sisters, on 03 Jan 1926, at Chalmers United Church in Montreal. My husband’s sister was born Marjorie Smith (27May1925) Montreal, Canada, daughter of Alexander W. Smith (1884-1932) and Emily Whiteman (1888-1926). Marjorie and two of her siblings were baptised on January 3rd 1926 at Chalmers United Church in Montreal, with their parents and birthdates listed. Records at the same church show their mother Emily died the month after all three children were baptised. Marjorie was adopted by Charles and Edith Langlois, and baptised at the Portneuf Presbyterian Church, in Portneuf, Quebec, on November 15, 1926. Using records on Ancestry.ca we have found that Marjorie had two siblings who were also baptised in January 1926 at Chalmers United Church in Montreal. We have found no further records on Marjorie’s brother or sister after their baptism, so we suspect they were also adopted. We don’t know if this was a formal/legal adoption or an informal adoption through the church. As Marjorie kept her birthdate and birthplace we suspect her brother and sister will have also. We have been able to search back on Ancestry and learn more about Marjorie’s parents and their ancestors. But we have found nothing on either her sister or brother. Records do show a sister (first name unknown, possibly born about 1914 in England) and a brother James (born about 1921) but as we have found no further records on them we suspect they may have died young. Thanks! Christine & Grant

372. Pattiknechtel : My husband was adopted from Quebec Canada in 1966. His original/birth name was JOSEPH LUC ROY We have been working with Centre Jeunesse Montreal and when the new law was passed we received the name of his birth mother (Lucille Berthelot), her bday and unfortunately the date she passed. He was also told he had a younger brother who was shipped abroad but were unable to give his name. Since we found her name I bought him a "my heritage" DNA kit for his birthday. We are currently awaiting the results for this. We have also tried searching for any other answers but have still come up short. Most of the siblings listed on the genealogy list are marked private.
