I have done ADN a cat at my heritage and found out I am 66% Scottish or Irish. 22% Baltic. I have blonde hair and blue eyes. 462. ShalomCSpira : My name is Shalom C. Spira [e-mail address: <shalom>], and I volunteer as the personal rabbi for the adopted individual in question, Mr. Bruce Martin Herman. He asked me to conduct this search on his behalf. Here are the relevant details: Mr. Herman was born to unknown parents on Aug. 14, 1958 and was adopted within a few weeks by the late Florence and Hyman Herman in Montreal, Quebec. In order to facilitate this adoption, Florence and Hyman Herman (who were Jews) asked Rabbi Chaim Denburg at Congregation Shomrim Laboker to convene an ad hoc Beth Din (Jewish religious court) to perform a conversion on the baby, which he did. Recently, I represented Mr. Herman before the established Beth Din of the Jewish Community Council of Montreal [website at <https>], asking whether it will recognize Mr. Herman’s conversion to Judaism as being a valid conversion. The conclusion of that hearing is that Mr. Herman’s status is one of doubt according to Torah law (i.e. he might be a Noahide and he might be a Jew), but that the Jewish Community Council of Montreal is willing to assist Mr. Herman to escape the doubt either way (he can now protest his conversion at infancy to thereby retroactively become a definite Noahide, or he could now undergo a new conversion to thereby become a definite Jew), depending on what he personally chooses. While Mr. Herman has yet to determine which choice he prefers, he is curious to know if there are any records regarding his birth parents, which might help inform his choice. Thank you for all your help.

463. Krimbo : Born at Ottawa Civic Hospital

464. JudithAubin : Hi, Per my adoption records, my given birth name is Judith Aubin. The records indicate that I was born on Feb 13, 1958 and adopted via Creche St. Vincent de Paul in Quebec, Canada to a wonderful family in Cuba. They later moved to Miami, Florida in 1960 where I was raised. I have done various DNA tests (Ancestry, 23andMe, MyHeritage, GEDMATCH-Genesis, etc., and the surname "Aubin" does not appear in any close DNA matches, therefore, I believe that was a made up surname. The surnames that do come up most frequently are: Boutin, Grenier, Rodrigue, Poulin, Plante, Champagne, Bolduc, Tanguay, Nadeau, Lachance, Beauregard, Fortier, Veilleux, Gagne, Goulet, Boucher, Busque, Rouleau, Gosselin, Labbe, Roy, Lapierre, etc... I would love to find my birth parents and discover more about my lineage. I would love to find out if I have any siblings. I pray that someone can help me find my birth mother and birth father, along with all of my family! Thank you so very much!

465. MelanieDaigle : My mother was born at the Montreal Baby and Foundling Hospital. She was illegally adopted, no adoption papers. My aunt was a nurse there, she arranged the adoption to my grand parents. Would there have been a registration of birth by the birth mother?
