547. Mikeguttman : I am searching for my biological mother and father. I was born in Montreal, Quebec on January 25, 1952 and adopted at birth. The late Dr. Joseph Goldberg of Montreal may have played a role in my placement with a Jewish couple.
I have brown eyes and hair and a light deep-tanning skin. Two of my children have blue eyes indicating some blue-eyed lineage.
548. KarenBailey : Your name at birth was Jesse. Your parents were French Canadian and they were teachers, and they were white. You were mixed race. I have thought about you over the years, and always hoped you were happy.
550. Rita2020 : I was born March 21, 1952 a l’Hopital de la Misericorde de Quebec.
I was placed for adoption by my biological mother at the St-vincent-de-Paul orphanage. My birth mother was 23 at the time of my birth, she is now deceased, I believe around 2017. Once the birth records were opened in Quebec, I was given her name which is Jeanette Côté. I don’t know anything about her, so I was hoping to get a little history about her. She did not list the father in the adoption papers, so I know nothing about him either.
551. Rita2020 : I was born in Quebec on March 21, 1952 and given up for adoption my my biological mother at the St-Vincent Orphanage. My birth mother was French-Canadian. Since the birth records were opened in Quebec a few years ago, i was give my birth Mother’s name which is Jeanette Côté, she was 23 at the time of my birth. She is now deceased, I am not sure what date, but I beleive it to be around 2017.
552. LoisCT : I am looking for Lucy Eastwood‚ my great aunt‚ and her descendants. She came to Canada from England as a home child in 1904 after her father died‚ her mother was placed in a workhouse and 3 of her siblings were also sent to Canada as home children. As per British Home Child policy‚ she was adopted because she was under 5. I believe she did contact her sister‚ my grandmother‚ but did get along with my grandfather and all contact ended. I cannot get information from the sending organization because I am not a direct descendent.
554. NATALYACHASTAIN : Looking for my father’s birth parents. He was born in Jewish General Hospital in Montreal and was adopted out of a Catholic orphanage‚ possibly St. Brendan’s Parish. DNA ancestry shows one parent passed down Ukrainian and French DNA and the other parent passed down mostly Greek/Germanic Europe/England/Scotland DNA.
Through close Ancestry and 23andMe DNA matches possible last names in the family could be Lagace and Dero. Strong French Canadian background.
