A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within New South Wales Who Chose To Be Featured
1231. LucyT : Searching for sibling. Born in Sydney in about 1966-1969 . Cannot get information from mother.
Mother’s name: Eleanor Mary Short. She was from Bathurst NSW. Her parents were Patricia and Colin Short. Birth believed to be in Sydney near Harbour and near where Sisters of St Joseph were located.
So sorry for not much information.
1233. Dnadone2 : I am searching on behalf of my Aunt Heather May Schmutter.
She has been adamant that she had once - had a baby many years ago.
When she claims she had the baby she was unable to see it.
Due to her being an unwed mother and having an intellectual disability.
Many family members have questioned whether or not her story
was true.
Aunt Heather had always lived in NSW Australia up till recently.
Residing in many Care Facilities.
My sister and I have taken her DNA test and uploaded the results to My Heritage DNA data site and Ancestry.com.au.
In hope of locating the son/daughter she claims to have had.
1234. Sam1975 : I am looking to locate my birth parents and any possible siblings. I was born at Hornsby hospital. Sydney l‚ NSW. I don’t know whom my birth mother is. I wss put in Foster care in St Ives prior to being adopted.
1235. Sarahwoodberry : My father was adopted at age 7. He also had a sister put up for adoption. I am trying to find his birth family for medical history purposes and to discover what my fathers last name would have been pre adoption
1238. Sirsamuel82 : I Sam Simpson am looking for my adopted sister Jetta Simpson who stayed at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney from approximately 1981 to 1986 with Spinal Bifida and Encephalitis. Her mother was Christine Fay LawSimpson and father James David Kingsley Simpson. Jetta Simpson would have been born near Thirlmere south of Sydney.
1239. Yenn86 : I am searching for my biological grandmother‚ Alice Mary Dingel.
My mother was named after her but was renamed Larlaenie Isabelle Gardner when she was adopted in 1959.
My mother was born on 27th September 1959 in Sydney.
She was adopted on 3rd December 1959 in Sydney.
I have one bit of my late mother’s adoption record‚ as the rest were surrendered by someone at the time of her death in 2001.
I was a minor at that time and couldn’t have those documents‚ and they are now lost or destroyed after being in storage for so many years. It will be hard for me to obtain them as I am my mother’s only blood relative.
I only know that Alice Dingel was a Roman Catholic and was from Poland. She was in Australia when she had my mother and is now lost in the pages of history.
She was probably unwed when she had my mother in Sydney.
The father is unknown and possibly of Aboriginal descent.
I only want information on Alice‚ whether or not she is alive or had children in her later life and told the secret to them or kept it to herself and took it to the grave.
I am a seeker of the truth‚ and I want to know more about my biological grandmother and also about the name of my biological grandfather. I hope to find him and to know the full story.
I only ask if you can help me with finding out the truth.
Thank you for reading this message.
