I did make contact with her parents in 1993 but they respected her wishes and did not give me any information as she had not told her husband that she had given birth to another child. I did find out that she had a young child about 3 years of age who they were caring for at the time.
79. CAT55 : My brother had a phone enquiry about 2011 from a man claiming to be the adopted son of our mother. He was unsure and my brother discounted it at the time. However‚ we now think it could be possible. Our mother’s name was Mavis Turner (nee Smith). The child could have been born anytime between 1942 and 1954‚ most likely between 1945-1947 in western NSW‚ possibly the Riverina area. No information so no birthdate. Family very open to meeting such a person (if they exist).
