1506. Emerald333 : Hello. I am searching for my half-brother who was adopted out by my mother‚ Sharon‚ approx 3 years before my birth (1976). I was told he has the same birth date as me‚ February 20‚ and that his father‚ ’Laurie’ was killed in a motorcycle accident. She gave him the name Darren‚ but I believe his adoptive parents named him David...last name ?Ritchie. My mother lived in Broken Hill‚ NSW‚ Australia at the time. My mother managed to find where he was and made contact with his parents‚ who were living in Sydney at the time‚ but I believe he was not interested in seeing her (he is obviously a good judge of character!). Then she had the audacity to write him a letter telling him he was being ungrateful to his adoptive parents!!!!! I have no idea if she is still in contact with the parents as I have permanently cut contact with her about 10 years ago. I just would like to tell my brother that he is welcome to contact me and get to know each other a bit.

I'm looking potentially a twin sister or possibly twin sisters.
Born at Crown St Women's Hospital Sydney. April 17
Birth mother Penny Oliver from QLD‚ Birth father Joe from US NYC Vietnam Vet.
Thank you!!
1514. Lydbean : I am the niece of the adoptee. My grandmother had a baby out of wedlock and was made to give it up for adoption by her dad. My grandmas name is Margaret and her maiden name was Robertson I believe. My grandma is from Brisbane/QLD and I know she was sent to Darwin for the pregnancy and to give birth‚ so I assume that would be where the adoption took place.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
