553. Jmcburd : My Father was born on the 16th of October 1949. I believe he was born somewhere in Sydney but not sure of the exact location. He passed away 10 years ago but I’ve been curious to learn more about that side of the family. He was adopted by Mary and William Keith McGavin (a New Zealand couple) and my Father grew up in England and Egypt. He later settled in New Zealand where he lived for the remainder of his life. Since he lived internationally for many years, it would’ve been hard for anyone to search for him. I hoping to make a connection with new family members out there.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
