693. Emma240 : He was born Paul Anderson in Bournemouth. He was adopted in Croydon we believe once adopted his middle name was changed to Paul.
We have heard that one of his adopted parents worked at Leicester university as a lecturer
694. Dianamarshall76 : Hi,my name is Diana Marshall and am living in Zürich. My mom has given a girl,in England, free for adoption in 1966. All I know that she moved with her parents to Africa ? My moms Maiden name is Dorothee Popp from Switzerland and she was a nurse in apprenticeship in a hospital maybe outside of London.
My dear sister, I’m looking for you because I miss you incredibly.
696. Estherbisset : Born in Islington to a nurse whose surname (maiden name) was henderson from Troon, I think she was 18 at the time. The father I think was a surgeon at the same hospital and was a friend of my adopted dad’s brother a Micheal Bisset
697. Tim654321 : I was born William Moody on 14th August 1964 In Horsham or Crawley West Sussex. I have a letter from Adoption Society with more details and some of the background of my birth parents.
698. Hollgo : I am searching for my mother’s birth mother, and/or any of her family members.
My mum was born in Hackney, London in 1945 to a Constance Voss (maiden name was Waddell, and her family came from the Newcastle/Durham area). Constance’s husband, Richard Voss, was not the father of her new baby, and he divorced her upon returning to find his young wife was pregnant.
My mum’s biological father is unknown, and is not named on birth certificate, but given that it was 1944 when my mum was conceived, it’s likely to be impossible to ever find that part out... GI’s were all over the UK, and Constance served in one of the women’s corps (unknown field) and is believed to have been based in London at the time.
My mum passed recently, and we had spent decades trying to find Constance or any of her family member, assuming she remarried in the UK and had a family of her own after the war. Alternatively, she might have met an American soldier (who could even be my mum’s biological father) and returned to the states with him later on.
703. Verity1325 : I know I have taken along time to look for my parents and siblings, but would really love to know you especially my father, whom I believe is Irish and live in Kilburn. Mothers name Jean Golding, my birth name was Madeleine Carol Golding, but was obviously change when I was adopted as a small baby. I was told that my father was taken back to Ireland but I believe he wanted to be with my mother.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
