I was born in 1977 and remember travelling with my mother on the boat from Ireland to the UK. My mother had no other choice at the time and I was left with friends of friends‚ who she was lead to believe would 'look after' her & me while she was giving birth and going through ' the process '. The conditions I was left in were not as promised. Im not making this about me.... I'm trying to give context to the many reasons why I have so few details. My mother was certain that she gave birth to a baby boy‚ she gave an envelope to a wonderful lady who supported her post adoption‚ but only a few years ago this lady gave her an envelope with some details of a baby girl.. this lady has since passed‚ leaving no further information to be gathered.
I am reaching out with the bare minimum information at present because I want my sibling to know they are thought of often‚ they are welcome‚ and loved even in absence.
It was a different time‚ but the future is more important than the past.

Born in London hospital (St Mary’s I think) then resided in a catholic mother and baby home for approximately six weeks in Bayswater and put up for adoption by the church. My mother (Patrick’s mother) has never been able to see him since and felt compelled by the nuns to give him away. My mother is 92 and I feel sure she would love to meet him but despite my previous enquiries‚ I have been unable to find any trace of his birth or adoption. Another Catholic Church adoption !

My birth mother's name was Deanna Lambdon and she lived with her parents Thomas & Dorathea (Dorothy) Lambdon in Hammersmith UK.
I understand in 1982 Kimberley may have been living in Chesterfield Derbyshire UK.
If there is any information available regarding Kimberley I would very much appreciate it being shared.
