389. Ronaldbrian : I am looking for my half brother Nicholas Coughlan (or Coughlin) My mothers name was Julie Bridgid Coughlin (or Coughlan, spelling different on different documents & she was also known as Julia!) . She went on to marry Mr Ronald Phillips (my dad). Unfortunately my mother died when I was only 18 & my sister 16! We believe (from old hearsay) that she may have made contact with him & arranged to meet, but unfortunately she died before the meeting was due to take place. He may not know what had happened to her! She fell pregnant with him whilst working in a hotel in London & we believe the father may have been a guest there. She was single and we think born in 1927 so she wasnt very young when she had him, but was from a strict Irish family. After struggling to keep him (alone) for about 3 weeks her family including sisters bullied her into having the baby adopted. I an not sure exactly what year he was born but think it was from about 1953-1960. I was born in 1965 & my sister 1967. I would love to find him & meet him & explain what happened with our mum.
