2281. Sjaryo29 : My stepmum wishes as she died was to find her son.she was known as Jane falzon but her first name was geovana.
She came over from Malta around1958 onwards and lived in Newcastle for awhile until the work discovered she was already pregnant.
She then moved into the London area.
The baby must have been adopted as she was catholic and would not of got rid of it.
If there is anyway of finding Peter Falzon Iit would make her dying wish come true.
I am her stepdaughter so it would make Peter my stepbrother.
Regards Sarah
2282. Rrawson : My mother was born 14/3/1935 at 77a Highgate Hill Islington London. Birth certificate shows mother as Christina Mary Owens. There is no DOB of mother and no details of the father.
My mother was adopted and took the name Bentley living in Hucknall Nottinghamshire and attending the Brincliffe Grammar School. My mother was born NORMA VALIE OWENS and adopted name was JILL BENTLEY.
my mother won a scholarship to the Royal Balet School but her adopted father refused to let her attend due to the scholarship having few prospects. She went to work in Lab Work at Boots factory in Beeston Nottinghamshire
It was considered that my grandfather was a Fred or Reg Barron (adopted grandmothers twin brothers) this was never proven although there are strong resemblances. This information is unsupported and as such discounted. My adopted grandmothers family originate from Sculcoates Hull but moved to Nottinghamshire during the great depression.
I have loaded my DNA to my Heritage but only match that came back was a second cousin to my mother called Robert Kelley from Wexford. He was married to an Owens however. Given they were second cousins it would suggest my mother and Robert Kelley share the same great grandparents.
Despite emails I have not had any updates or replies on this.
I am not seeking to meet long lost family more know what me roots are.
2283. AppletonGordon1960 : We are looking for a female of mixed race we don't have much information.
I know that she would be our eldest sibling‚ born 1964 or before.
We know my mum got pregnant after a brief relationship with an American soldier she possibly met in London in a serviceman's club. He returned to service unaware mum was pregnant. My mum may have been living in Swindon‚ Basingstoke area at the time so adoption could have been from those areas or London. My mum's name was Rosemary Patricia Appleton‚ then Gordon once married.
I believe from a conversation with my mum‚ she told me sister and myself about the half sister and she had been told they had been searching for mum. Mum stated she had a feeling she may have shut the door on her thinking it was a cold caller. And felt bad for this but at the time she was unsure how to proceed and locate. She lived in bletchley‚ and the lakes estate‚ and Eaglestone also Simpson village. All in Milton Keynes area if you have been searching those areas.
You may be our sister and we would like to connect
Sadly Mum has now passed away 2022. But my self and 1 remaining siblings would like to connect.
2287. Courtneylong : I’m looking for my brother originally named Martin long name is now Joseph not sure on last name as it was meant to be an open adoption but the family never contact my mum after he turned 5
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
